Of course your probably right i doubt we'll see it either but we have to get Fletch in the midfield somehow because quite frankly its embaressing watching us get totaly outplayed in there...we need another wide player on to give us some balance and much needed width and we need Berbatov to give us some ball control in and around the box....
The team selection is just so bizarre its hard to understand the logic behind it.
I wouldn't have a problem about Park if we were one ahead, but we're not, and De Laet showed that we need players that aren't afraid to run at the opposition.
To be fair, we're playing without our first choice GK, 3 of our 4 regular defenders and their first-choice subs, and plying our best CM at CB.
We simply need to keep in touch with Chelsea and Arsenal until our injury problems ease a bit.
I think we miss Fletch in midfield and Scholes hasn't been great. I'd maybe take Scholes off and bring Fabio on. Put Fletch into midfield and Fabio at RB. Give it another while to see how it shakes things up, if it isn't working then make another sub, possibly Obertan & Berba on.
I want to see Obertan. Gibson to sit back in midfield instead of scholesy, who should play further up. Keep the ball bit longer and be patient. We'll be alright.

Playing 3 at the back is not working. Against Wolfsburg, once we switched to a back 4, we took control of the game and went on to score twice to make it 3-1.

It wasn't that bad. Let be fair to the boys, we're playing without a defence and doing ok. We would win this by 2 or 3 goals if we stop shooting for 100 yards out and just get the ball out wide quickly. Fulham look all over the place when we get the ball wide.

Gibson can shoot, not too much apart from that. Doesn't seem to do well under pressure and this isn't his type of game. Our midfield 3 have been atrocious.

The way we are playing, not just tonight, but the games this season so far, had me kinda convinced that we will not win the league. Out of 10 matches, 7~8 games had been dire. We just don't seems like a title winning team at all. i just can't see it.

I know!! I was joking. I wonder if Gibson has been instructed to shoot from distance as often as possible. Would be good if he could just look up before taking the shot to see if there is a better option. I hope we go 442 cos I reckon we will perform a lot better.
Gibsons a very limited player with a 'sometimes' great shot....his actuall midfield game is very limited indeed....trouble is he over does his shooting far far to often and its gotten to the point where literally everytime hes on the ball within 35 yards of goal you can see whats coming a mile off....hes a one in 10 man when it comes to long shots...
Could easily have said that about 02/03. If we go on a run, we can do it. At the moment, though, it's more about survival.
They're not running away with it though. they've been in crap form the last 6 matches. We're shooting ourselves in the foot. It's not so much today, but the Villa match last weekend.
We can laugh at Liverpool all we like, but 5 defeats (if it stays like this) at this stage is terrible.

Far too early to say that, we're not far off top and could go on a run anytime. Chelsea not looking rock solid either. No need to panic just yet.
