Fulham vs Manchester United

more Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime....

We weren't awful, Nani was very good when he came on pen aside and made their own goal, berba was fine, and it was a very entertaining game.

you must be one of those rare people who hold on to your emotions...All the time. Bloody good for you mate. :)

People vent, get pissed or get delirious in a match.

Half of those stuff is 'nothing'...

But do feel superior if it helps you.

carry on.

Thanks

People on the Jeremy Kyle show do too...I feel very superior to them

I will, thankyou.

carry on.

OK.

I'm glad I have your seal of approval from now on. It makes the cold nights so much warmer.

I said we played well, especially in the beginning of the first half and when we managed to get back into the game in the second half.
I acknowledged Fulham away is a tough game.
I never slated any of our players -- I was disappointed we didn't come away with three points after that game. We were so, so close -- of course it was sickening.

What's the point of a matchday thread if we're going to be deemed 'Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime' for expressing an emotional reaction 5 mins after FT?

Well, this was the first time I tried this (matchday thread) and it will definitely be the last.

in all honesty...I fecking don't care now do I?

someone highlighted your posts.

that's enough...now if you meant that to be funny...well you failed miserably...or your wind ups were pathetic.

we oughta plug that vagina of yours up, blood all over my monitor, i would just like to know what team i support, am I a scouser? or is that you being funny?

I didn't call you a Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime...I was drawing your attention to the mongishness I was referring to....this isn't a terrace ...people take the time to type this shit. It's just very funny to those of us who don't come in here...there's a reason this place has a reputation for mongishness....and the reason is...mongishness

Burndogg supports United as well. It was meant to be a joke. Obviously you dont know about it. But even if he wasnt, those posts were not offensive in anyway. No need to throw your toys out of the pram.

your point is.....?

If you ever watched my video's you'd see I approached each game with a fair degree of level headedness and never once slated the players like people in here....and all of those performances were worse than this United one

So your hilarious point is moot, and useless, and contains all the gravitas and punch of a dead silk worm

Is it not understandable people over-react after we were a penalty away from a 3-1 lead against a tough side?
We're filled with glory supporters on this site whether they deny it or not, people who started supporting us because of success and great players. When we don't win it's a shock to them, as if we're expected to all games against sides like Fulham by a margian. The same applies to local fans as well, it's the well known phrase on this site, 'knee jerkers'

If it's such a Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime filled place, why do you take your time out to highlight these Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime?

England lost the world cup, lolz, you lose the argument on the unrelated matter!!

I think that was the point.

Damn...I am fecked there.

Look, I know how people react at football, I go to lots of football..and I'm all for slating your own players when they don't perform...but on an internet site, I find the people who type out that kind of stuff quite funny. It takes more than just a knee jerk shouty spasm...it's some kind of weird spastic urge.

people are typing as they watch....little difference to the terrace you refer to. In fact that's what I was thinking about about some of the overboard posts. In fact I prefer the 'honesty'. You get a heck of the same tripe at a match..or at least I used to hear it when I used to go a long time ago.

not arsed to point out if you refereed to me as a Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime or not..you certainly addressed my post.

well the match is over. We'll get either 'we are the best team in the world' or we are 'fecked' depending on results.

until next week ;)

Well...it is. Really.

It takes more concerted effort for a start to type and publish the fact you think Nani is a retard and fecking feck him after they score, especially after being our best player off the bench. Maybe I expect a greater degree of detachment from the interweb...I know I feel far more detached when typing my feelings than when I'm shouting them. Maybe that's just me. I'm just better than all of you...clearly

fair point. For me. I Never slate our own player. I may say he was poor. But never ever call him a retard or abuse him. But hey thats like people venting on Rooney after that England match... at least to me it was.

But I can see your reasoning.

Lets hope we do em in next match.

In all honesty I think many here are already 'fearing' the Chelsea machine. :(

And I can see your point...but there is a big difference from being in a big stupid mongy mob of shouty people (which is generally what a football crowd is) and getting caught up in the hysteria...and sitting on your own in a room and doing so.

Of course I sit and watch at home and let a "twat" slip out now and then...but I don't feel the need to type it or publish my profound insight on the internet right away. It's just, like, well spazzy init?

well of course you are right. But the fun thing about going to a football match for me when I used to be able to watch United and going to the pub afterwards was you get all types.. I mean some who were just looking for trouble and others like you and still others who just wanted to be There watching their beloved team 'live' no matter what with their kids or summat.

In the end it really is a Brotherhood...

I mean I know I can turn up at the door of some on here I have got to know and I will have a place to crash for the night...and I have made friends like that....just because we happened to love Manchester United.

Thats what the club means to me....and to many many others.

I admit I viewed the matchday thread like a kind of 'virtual terrace'. Nothing could be further from my mind than regarding the comments I posted here as "publishing my profound insight on the internet".
I regarded it as an IM conversation with a mate -- spontaneous comments straight from the heart as the game unfolded. Like I said upthread, this was my first matchday thread, and I honestly didn't see many over the top comments during the game, just standard fare. The Caf went down for me for the last 10 minutes, so I might have missed a lot of nonsense then, I admit.

Yes, I said it was a sickener after FT, but that wasn't because I thought the team played shite, it was because we were so close to winning -- and then having that snatched away...

Well, it's good to know I was right in thinking this wasn't for me (matchday threads when I'm at home during a game). I'm too bloody slow anyway... ;)

Let's look at this way:

- We were away from home, against one of our bogey sides.
- It's still early season and we're not into our stride yet
- We were without Rooney
- We got a point

When you take everything into consideration a draw is not a bad result.

We've lost here the last 2 seasons. Fulham are a good side and will make it tough for our rivals when they go there. This isn't to say that Arsenal and Chelsea won't win at the Cottage but different teams have different bogey grounds. For example, games like Porstmouth, West Ham and Fulham away have been a struggle for us in the past, but equally, Chelsea and Arsenal can struggle when they come up north.

Like I said, we're not into our stride yet. We expected this in a World Cup year and in any season it's not uncommon to drop points early in the season like at Burnley last term. So we've got an early season blip and a tough game against a bogey side out of the way in one match and come out with a point. Some of the lads are still working towards their fitness and this was another match towards that. We'll be better against West Ham.

We coped well without Rooney. When Rooney got injured last season many people instantly wrote off our title chances, and yet today we got a result, though not all 3 points, in a tough away match without him. Berbatov and Hernandez will be a good partnership I feel.

So basically, a tricky fixture out of the way - one that we now won't have to negotiate in the run-in or during the busy Christmas period - and 1 point better than our result last season. Hardly the end of the world.

2 points behind, 36 games to go

now how many agree we need our defence sorted out?

I mean we were hardly at our best against Newcastle either.

Frankly it has got me a bit worried.

I haven't been impressed with Evans for a long time. I don't trust him. I'd rather Brown be in there. I trust him to win the tackles and stay tight.

I was in the "hardcore" Fulham end for this one.

My god it was torture.

A couple of lads got kicked out when Scholes scored so I tried to blend in more. When Hangeland scored the own goal I jumped up and instantly said for fecks sake before ducking in my seat again. I nearly celebrated :nervous:

I also was trying to pull a smile and pretend to celebrate when they scored, twice. The fat guy next to me stank and hugged me for both goals. It was fecking awful.

I've usually sat in the longside at the Cottage and they pretty much don't sing there and you can openly support United.

I'll probably do the same at Chelsea. It will be hard not to celebrate against those cnuts!
