Ish
Lights on for Luke
Don't put yourself down like that mate, Everton aren't that much better tbh. ;-)

Ouch
Thin ice Vato. I might start a petition to get you...sin binned for that dig at our beloved club!

we also (allegedly) matched Real Madrid's offer
Shame really, He like Giggsy will probably never get to taste a big international tournament. Players of their calibre should be at the pinnacle of their sport.
It should really make Januzaj think carefully before choosing IMO.
I think Wales has a decent chance for the Euro 2016, now that 24 teams take part. It's difficult, but if they have both Bale and Ramsey fit, they should finish 3rd in their qualifying group and could get through in the playoffs.Shame really, He like Giggsy will probably never get to taste a big international tournament. It sucks he got blamed for the goal, even though his positioning has no effect if it's on the other side (didn't watch the game so can't judge). What I do know is you don't take Ronnie's FK away from him then balls it up; you are just asking for trouble there.
I hope DDG had permission to be stewarding last night we've a big game this weekend

When he played for Spurs I wasn't keen on Garth Bale, but he's really stepped it up now and proved all the doubters wrong, including me. Fair fecks to him.

Good find there.I hope DDG had permission to be stewarding last night we've a big game this weekend
Bale has not 'really stepped up' this season. He was sensational last season for Tottenham. Now he plays for a top team so people give him his due but he has been a top player for a while now.

I really don't think so. He had a lot of goals but his general play was underwhelming. It was pointed out that several players in the league had much better stats and general play, without the acclaim. And the comparisons to Ronaldo in 06/07 were just grating.
He is more involved with the counter at Real now. He lacks the ability to decide games where space is minimal, but that will come with time. I thought he would be a total flop at Real, but he is far from that, and he will get better. So kudos to him, and more pie for me
Better stats? He hasnt looked better at real at all, that is complete nonsense. He is unsurprisingly now posting better stats when he is playing with better players against teams who aren't as good as the team he plays for.
People have been using that exact same criticisms for this season.
I think he has looked much better than he did at Spurs. It may be that the players around him are much better, but it's not a given that he would be able to step up. Look at Fellaini this season for my prime example.
Where are these stats from? He scored 26 in all comps last year, in 44 apps.Better stats?
41 games - 21 goals 19 assists this year vs 51 - 37 and 17 last year.
Bale was brought to replace Ronaldo in the future I think.I wonder if Ronaldo was sold and the team was based around bale, how many goals would he score. I think he is capable of 40-45 goals if he was the main man and he was constantly fed the ball as well as taking all the penalties

Transfermarkt, I think it added the national team goals for European qualifiers too.Where are these stats from? He scored 26 in all comps last year, in 44 apps.
I am assuming that Ronnie will eventually slow down. When? Since Ronaldo is contracted until 2018.

Just a quicker Antonio Valencia with a better left and weaker right foot.
He's a good player, not the best in the world and not as bad as people try and make out. The price tag seems to result in a lot of people constantly down playing anything good he does. I'll never really understand the hype though, Walcott for example has been posting the same numbers of goals the last couple of years.
In saying all of that the goal last night, while obviously important, isn't the incredible goal i've seen it reported as. Great counter but he basically ran in a straight line past a defender who did nothing to try and stop him.
