Get your league tables out for the lads

I genuinely believe that Liverpool will finish 3rd.

we've scored the most in the league yet the scouse accuse us of boring football and that we only win 1 nil.

If the table reads like this come May, will there have ever been a worse case of a thread biting you in the ass?

 this may take the award.

We should make this a sticky for years to come, it can serve as a reminder for any scouser who assumes the league is over after a month...

It's incredible to think that a team with the world's best players in every single position, Europe's best manager and the best set of fans in the world has managed to feck up so badly. I just can't get my head around it.

From 10 points ahead to 7 points behind with United having a game in hand at home against Portsmouth.
Team........Played..Points..GD
Man Utd.....26.......62.....+35
Chelsea......27.......55.....+31
Liverpool.....27.......55.....+23
Aston Villa...26.......51.....+15
Arsenal.......27.......46.....+13
Everton.......27.......44.....+8

LFC's visit to Aston Villa on 22 March could well be a Champions League qualification 6 pointer.

Apparently, it's not their fault, it's all down to bent refs and teams lying down for United.

I remain adamant that Villa is capable of finishing third.

Indeed.

They dont have Europe to focus on, whereas Liverpool will inevitably give everything in Europe now.

I'm starting to wish Arsenal hadnt fecked up so badly early in the season, or Liverpool could well have finished fifth!

Could you just imagine how Villa would feel if they broke into the top four but if Arsenal finishing fifth won the Champions League, thus taking their place in it next season- with the strength of English teams in the CL it could be a dangerous year to come forth.

Can you imagine the scouse reaction if it happened to Liverpool. If Villa finished third and Arsenal won CL

On a side note, this thread along with common sense should remind not only Liverpool but us as well that we're not absolutely screwed if we don't come flying out of the gate at the start of the season. For everyone Liverpool fan telling us to look at the table, there was a corresponding United fan acting like the sky was going to fall and another one of us trying to call everyone down and "keep the faith".

So if the same thing happens next year, let's try not to get crazy with a slew of "WE'RE feckED" threads. The title race takes place over 38 matches and THAT, my friends, is a proven fact if I've ever seen one.

why would be bump this when we are in real danger of losing the prem? the dirties could easily get fourth as well still.

couldn't this have waited a month or so? ffs

Because it's good luck. Watch the renties drop points at home to Bolton :D
