Can we have a table wher the home and away record are not split

My pleasure...

Table's flattering us slightly though, we've played 9 games at home

After next week, United will have played two of their three hardest road matches, ie the only ones were dropping points is a real possibility going into the game

You think Anfield and Stamford Bridge are the only places we'll drop points on the road?

Seems unlikely, our away record this season is won 3, drawn 2, lost 2

No, its the only places going in where I dont mind you have to call it a draw. How could you possibly argue that Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool are United's most difficult away matches in the Premier League

 I'm not arguing that

I'm querying your statement that they're "the only ones were dropping points is a real possibility going into the game"

It's not that flattering. We've been the second best team in the league so far this season, and were arguably better than the best team when directly up against them.

I don't think we'll win at Anfield though. Then again I never do, and we usually end up scraping it

It's not just Arsenal, but we've already played at Pompey, Everton, City and Villa. Next week we can add Anfield to the list, and whatever happens there we'll still be ahead of the scousers in the league.

It's slightly flattering, in that we've played 9 games at home and 7 away. Not very flattering, but slightly.

Home games are easier than away games lads, over the season teams pick up more points at home

True. And you can add Bolton to the list, they're not an away fixture to relish even in a shite season for them.

Though Arsenal have played away at Spurs and West Ham, as well as at Blackburn, Newcastle and Anfield

A quick look at the table suggests these fixtures are easier, but feck it...you won, the table is flattering a bit

It doesn't really matter anyway. Come the end of December our home and away games ratio will be 10/10

Well it will matter if our current points average continues for those 4 games

Sometimes you can get too bogged down with statistics. Nobody would have thought Liverpool would have lost to Reading today. December as always will be a crucial month, we'll see what happens at the end of it.

That's irrelevant, the whole point of stats is that they tell you things a one-off result doesn't

But yes, people can get too bogged down in them. Especially as regards player stats, rather than teams.

December as always will be a crucial month, we'll see what happens at the end of it.

Well yes, we will. And we've been playing very well. Nevertheless, if we're to maintain our position we're going to need to improve our away form.

Amazing how after the Bolton defeat people talked about that Anfield game as almost a title decider regarding our challenge, when all of a sudden the significance of the game turned to actually possibly pushing the scousers out of the race. Won't be the end of the world if we lose it, but for the scousers the stakes are much higher.

Even better if Arse draw their next 2 games & we beat the dippers we leave them 9 points behind us...the leaders.

Well I'd prefer a trip to Sunderland than to City again that's for sure. I personally believe the only result we can truly be ashamed of away from home is the one at Bolton. I'm glad we've got City, Portsmouth and Arsenal out early. The last two fixtures we lost last season.

The stakes are high for Liverpool next Sunday. I'll be happy with a bore draw
