Television Gotham - TV series

Hardass Captain … step on down!

Still lovin' this prequel, much against all the popular backlash from season one … loved it from the start!

I sincerely believe that Jerome will still have a part to play in Gotham going forward – he's too good a character and the uncontrolled laughing by random members of the Gotham public after his premature demise points to it – but lets face it we know grown-up Batman faces the Joker so the writers can't change the mythology retrospectively.

Can they? :nono::devil:

Theo threatening Penguin's mother is going to haunt him. Zsasz and Butch were funny throughout. Barnes is refreshing, nice to see some spine in the GCPD. Although Nygma's plotline is still isolated, hope he gets integrated with Penguin soon.

I haven't watched this series before, like Batman, liked Daredevil, am I going to like it?

Depends. It is almost as dark as Daredevil but the mood is different since Gotham is dark yet goofy/ridiculous. I recommend it though.

I think I know who Theo is now! Or was it obvious to everyone at the start? Barnes is a great addition also - this season is awesome even though I missed Jerome this episode

Who? Court of Owls related?

After some research, my initial thoughts are probably wrong.

I have read that Theo was a big Batman villain - so I i have been thinking that he's Ra's Al Ghul - with him never aging and all and the history and that. With Silver's appearance, I thought Talia - but seems like I'm wrong, as I did some searching and Silver is an actual DC character that was a love interest of Batman.

So it turns out Theo is part of the Order of St Dumas. I was quite frankly hoping for Court of Owls seeing as they said they would do it. This episode was underwhelming.

This episode was turd. Not a single thing happened that wasn't utterly boring.

Was an ok episode . Robin Lord Taylor seems to be growing into his role as Penguin.

He's terrific.

Since Theo is part of St Dumas, do we think we will see Azrael at some point?

This is gay. They are going to ruin the Joker.

Just watched the first 4 episodes of season 1, after putting it of for a year, pretty surprised I thought it would be rubbish, but im quite enjoying it

Its funny how in Arrow, Flash, and Gotham the most annoying characters are the female leads ie Barbara, laurel, and iris, all the most annoying and cringe inducing characters, they`re only there for the "eye candy"

I wasn't impressed with this episode - didn't feel that the main story moved much. The worst part of the episode was the last Riddler scene - I just don't accept that someone with Riddlers intellect would say something so stupid.

Alright Gordon has caught up (finally) and Nygma is full Riddler. They better kill off Galavan by midseason, honestly don't think I can go through a full season of him. Also expecting Leslie to get killed off soon, either by Nygma or Galavan.

And now add Miss Silver to that list too!

True, haha, For me right now I cant stand Barbara with her "evil " face on all the time its like shes on a show for 3 year olds. And then Galavans sister, though I think shes the hottest actress on the show, I find her acting pretty bad

But apart from that, I actually enjoy the show alot, I knew it started last year, but didnt watch it, as I thought if its pre - Batman, it would be boring. I started watching from season 1 last week, and caught up to where it is now today, I found it very good

Would be good if they can make alot of seasons out of it, and hopefully an actual Batman spinoff in the future would be great

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great too! Just agreed with your point about some of the female characters being weak and annoying.

Episode mainly about Barbara but was entertaining. At least next week there's finally a Penguin Riddler team up. Bruce still kind of dumb though.

I actually hated the episode. Still not convinced why Barbara Gordon has to act like Harley Quinn.

Wow, that latest episode was fantastic, every scene was hectic, this show has really evolved into excellence.

Enjoying this season more than last . Enigma and Cobblepot forming a good team .Even the butler is growing on me now.

Alfred the butler, played by Sean Pertwee who is the son of Jon Pertwee who is best known as Worzel Gummidge !!! I think he is perfectly cast in this.

I like Sean Pertwee. I'm fascinated by his wonky eyes.

Always get the urge to rewatch I.D. when I see him too.

Nice episode.Bruce seems to be now growing into the man we'll know he'll become.

This season is proving to be better than the first, still not too sure what I like about it but I watch it every week nonetheless.

Only just had a chance to watch last weeks, right before this week's one goes out! Humdinger!

Hard not to see this though:

Solid closer. Name drop of Strange in Indian Hill and glimpse of Mr Freeze (no origin story?) who looks like Captain Cold  and inverse Firefly

Not sure what to make of Galavan. Is he the show's Azrael?

Gotham got it some "strange"!

Public service announcement:
Kids, hiding in discarded fridges and freezers is only safe for the butlers of superheroes!
Cue the “Is Batman a superhero” debate
On a side-note, apart from the fact that the makers of the show seem to think it believable that a young Jim Gordon could ever be related to John Terry, I think the glamourising of the barely-teenaged female characters on the show is nearly as repugnant as those fecking sick American child beauty pageants. Surely they could have nurtured a romantic interest for young Bruce without vamping up Silver (15 year old Natalie Alyn Lind)? Even the street urchin, Selina, is starting to look like she just walked out of some Beverly Hills hair salon in every shot which is just "strange" - she was much more “street” in series one IMO!

Don’t get me wrong I love this show but feel a little bit uncomfortable with that aspect sometimes and think it could have been easily avoided - it's a subject that could be tackled in one or two series time as I hope this one runs and runs. Anyone with a young daughter might know what I mean.
