With comments like that about the UN and the Red Cross maybe Ben should have a moment of introspection and pose himself the question: ''Are we the baddies?''

What could go wrong?

The move, requested by right-wing politicians and residents of the West Bank settlements, would be aimed at arming civilian security squads in order to defend themselves from attacks like those on Oct. 7

@Amir can you shed light on this?

Israel’s media mostly keep Gaza’s human toll out of sight

But the toll of that war on the civilians of Gaza is largely out of sight. Most news outlets here do not prominently feature the conflict’s soaring death count or the growing threat of hunger and disease. They publish images of Israeli soldiers seated atop tanks and storming into buildings, but not the victims of Israeli bullets and bombs.

Gideon Levy, a very reputable Israeli journalist from Haaretz said that it was the case, which is absolutely not surprising.

However it's not really an excuse. There's easily accessible, metric tons of articles and videos of the slaughter on the net for anyone to see.

Yep, that's right. What's happening to the Gaza population gets very little attention in the Israeli media, therefore not many Israelis know that much about it.

Not that it would change much for many of the Israelis if they did know. People who want to know can find out. people who don't care, don't bother anyway. And most Israelis just don't care. Some just see anybody living in Gaza, children included, as collaborators or potential terrorists.

Definitely need those F35s to help turn the tide against the military juggernaut that are Hamas, journalists, UN workers and some kids with slingshots.
It’s insane the amount of resources this fat cousin of a country gets from the dumbest empire in world history. The Israeli military ground strategy of standing next to explosive barrels like Goldeneye NPC’s hasn’t worked. Now all they have left is air power.

Don't forget the future hostages who'll try to unwillingly escape with their captors.

If there ever was a textbook example of "feck around and find out" that would be it.

Brilliant!

Just awaiting the inevitable ICJ absolution of Israel today, and the nauseating smugness of US and Israeli officials with a 'told you so' response, as they continue to murder thousands more civilians.

Without being dramatic, I feel like today is possibly the day the whole notion of international law loses credibility permanently.

As we await the verdict on imposing emergency measures on Israel by the @CIJ_ICJ, 184 Palestinian were killed in the last 24 hours.

At least 11 Palestinians were killed THIS MORNING alone, including one journalist.

More than 31,000 Palestinians killed or under the rubble.

65,000 more wounded and thousands are in a life or death situation with no medical access.

At least 120 mass graves sprawled across UNRWA schools, hospitals, and residential neighborhoods.

Shameless feckers should be creating the buffer zone on their own side.

Ah, no, that would be counterproductive to the land grabbing operations.

At a minimum it should be on both sides like every other DMZ. You'd hope the outcome would be a UN agreement to create a buffer zone each side and then recognise Palestine as a state.

If the global community allow Israel to occupy that land and continue it's apartheid with no recognition of Palestine it'd be a shameful outcome for all.

It is good that the ICJ is quoting the UN and WHO reports.

And quoting some of the vile statements by senior Israeli officials now. There is something about an ICJ judge calmy and deliberately laying out the facts and quotes that adds some gravity to the situation.

And using proper sources for once in this argument.

So, some provisions designed to hold Israel to account, some provisions to alleviate the humanitarian situation, but ultimately no provisional order for Israel to stop its operation.

Yep, they agreed with basically everything South Africa submitted but rejected to propose a call for a ceasefire.

Too much politics is still being played while thousands are killed, injured, and starved every day.
