before the match the two fans were on the opposite sides of the stadium in the stands...chanting and shouting and it was getting very tense.

there was a small group of juventus fans near to the liverpool fans, who were not apart of any supporter groups, just average fans. and they were attacked.

Well, you must have wondered why all English clubs got thrown out of Europe for all those years. You must have at some time asked why?

European Cup final 1985. I still can't believe they played that match out. <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

I was born in 1986, by the way <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

I knew that clubs were kicked out of europe, i presumed it was hooliganism of some sort but i never inquired, i must confess.

I read soemwhere that United fans were actually the first ones to be kicked out of europe...any truth in that?

<a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/768380.stm" target="_blank">All clubs were dumped out at the same time.</a>

marescas a fan favourite...similar to davids and is definately going to be big soon.

they all could easily get some first team football here...</strong><hr></blockquote>

Maresca was yelling to Inter players "SIAMO NOI, SIAMO NOI, I CAMPIONI DELL'ITALIA SIAMO NOI!!" Mitico.

A la domenica sportiva, Moggi ha detto che le Juve riprenderà Miccoli e Blasi a giugno :D

Brighi... non mi sembra un granche'.

he said that it wasnt an inter goal and he hoped they lose the title on the last day again...!

blasi is good as well, and we are giving i gronfi guzman instead on loan.

brighi has been quiet recently but he is very good, the same as tachinardi.

someone from a juve fan site was posting and said he was from here...!

Must have been Suedesi.

Was he nice or a bit odd? If he was odd it will have been 26. ;)

I've not been to that site mate. I resisted after the farce of the Basel invasion. ;)

one of the best teams ever, imo.</strong><hr></blockquote>

Zoff, Scirea, Tardelli, Cabrini, Rossi, Boniek, Platini... What a great team!

zidane...? well its difficult having tachinardi there instead of him!

amazing player, one of the reasons i liked juve...but he wanted to go  and felt the italian league was restrictin...better have 48m then an angry player.

moggi has always been the same: he asked for 80m!

How could you not know what happened to put English clubs at a tactical disadvantage for pretty much all the years up until '99?

Did you never wonder why? <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

He's already answered that.

I asked him! ;)

<strong>also strange that we had henry and trezeguet together...but thats the way it goes
</strong><hr></blockquote>

Henry left Juve in August '99. Trezeguet joined in June 2000. You're probably as Italian as Davo and as much of a Juve fan as I am of QPR.

no...henry then went back to monaco, on loan i think, while we had already inked trezeguet in as he was set to come.

so we practically had them together.

I'm very worried about this game.

1. Juventus needs points more than us and they'll be very motivated

2. They will be playing at home

3. Their best players will have come back

4. Their B team has caused us problems

5. We're not in our better form, we have been outplayed by Bolton

More than the result (we're virtually qualified) this is the score that I fear

I will be well satisfied with a point from this game.. have a feeling we will lose this one <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

Manchester United / Juventus...two great clubs , two hugely popular teams all over the world. Both have amazing history.

The big difference though is this....

Juventus play some small club at home and they attract some 20,000 people.
Manchester United play some Preston NE in the WC and they still get 64,000.

and that makes Man Utd the better team?

we are going to redevelop our stadium

It doesn't neccessarily make Man United the better team but it makes them the bigger team.

You may change and reconstruct your stadium (and isn't it going to be like the English stadiums ?????) but you'll still have lousy attendances unless you're playing the bigger clubs.

the pitch will be lowered so that the running track will be removed...the fans get closer to the pitch. right now the closest they can get it 10-15 feet.

it will have a glass roof and will be a very good stadium.

well see when it is done what the attendances will be like...its pointless speculating now!
