Hey Square, welcome to the Cafe! Was just wondering, what did the Juve fans think of Agnelli? was he the hero he's been made out to be? Oh and how do you rate our performance in the 1999 Semi-Final in Turin? and what do you think of Roy Keane? As a player and a person?

it will have a glass roof and will be a very good stadium.

well see when it is done what the attendances will be like...its pointless speculating now!

have they started the rebuilding???? i thought that Juve were moving to Modena for the time being? or is that next season?

woo... it's not the match day yet.. and it's in the 5th page already.....
And... I don't think this is an official match thread already... I should've change the topic to Manchester United and Juventus's arguing thread or something like 'the Juve fans say...'

Probably. We only have the one striker.

Heysel was a disgrace not only for Juventus fans and Italian football but also for English and European football. English teams were really competitive in that period: I rememer how a "second class" team like Aston Villa won the Champions cup...playing in England was always fascinating

We were terrible at that time!

40 United fans stopped by the police after damaging tram in Milan.

Eh? How did they manage that?

40 of them were in transit in Milano- apparently drunk, boarded a tram in Piazza Duomo and had some disagreements with the rooftop ;) So they apparently staved it in, and the cops were called who stopped them. No arrests yet.

Crazy innit?

Probable lineups:

Juventus: Buffon - Thuram, Montero, Ferrara, Zambrotta - Davids, Conte - Camoranesi, Nedved, Di Vaio - Trezeguet

Manchester United: Barthez - G. Neville, Silvestre, Ferdinand, O'Shea - Beckham, Keane, Veron, Giggs - van Nistelrooy, Solskjaer.

Hmmmmm, I'm beginning to think United could get a draw.

I reckon SAF will go with 5 in the middle. Butt in, Solskjaer out.

Ze ref is from Geh'many: Markus Merk :p
He's already refed in 96-97 Juve-ManUtd 1-0.

Inzaghi since scoring in that match has moved to AC Milan where he's joined by another Utd fan favourite, Redondo. Neither of them flew to Moscow as they caught the flu.

Do you reckon he's up for it, his return to Italy and all?

Dear Manuted fans...this evening we will show you how Di Vaio plays...

If he doesn't perform well tonight I will be surprised. And worried.

Certainly.

Plus he is the kind of player that best expresses his talent against Italian opposition. We sorely missed him at OT. It could be a really exciting game if the rest of the United lads are up for it. I know Juve will fight for a victory as they need the points.

Is Ruud playing?

They have got that lineup arse over tit IMO. Unless SAF is not taking this too seriously and is giving Ruud a rest, briniging him on if we get ino trouble.

I've read that Sir Alex wanted to rest some of our stars, like Keane or Van Nistlerooy. Do we really need that ? I fear the worst.

Well, if that's the case we might has well play an orchestra full of kids with Verón as the conductor, and see what happens.

Would be interesting. ;)
