Juventus - Real Madrid (CL Final)

Buffon has made some crucial save against Barca and Monaco. Juventus wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him.
But Real wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Ronaldo, if you're going to look at it that way.

Buffon wasn't even that important against Monaco, Juve were head and shoulders above them.

Barring game-altering episodes(red cards, multiple offside goals, etc.), it will come down to physical condition. If juventus can outrun us by at least 4-5 kms, they'll win. If not, we'll win

Mbappe had the chance to put Monaco ahead in the first leg. It would have been massive.

I put a bet on Juve. Easy money. This final has a Juve win written all over it.

Home sweet home ??
He's lived there more than in Manchester, he's had and raised his son there. He loves United and that's why he always says good things about us but Madrid is his home. He's not coming back and he will be remembered as a Real Madrid player and legend. People need to come in terms with that. I think most have, to be fair.

Really hope Juventus can win this. Would be the best thing for world football if Real does not win this

Going to settle on 2-1 Real Madrid after extra time. A Juventus win would be very nice though.

Hoping that Juventus win, but wouldn't it mean that they will have 4 European titles to our 3 ? That's the only gripe I have with them winning it.

would only be 3 unfortunately, although it feels like we should have more at times :D

Haha, as a United fan, I feel the exact same way. It's a shame we played one of the best teams in history in two champions league finals, else we would be equalling Liverpool.

Its been along time since I looked forward to a CL final. Either team can win and its a clash between 2 of the best teams in the world.
In one hand you have a team with a bad history in finals and in the other hand no team ever won a back to back CL so either way one of the teams is making history today.

In individual quality the RM side is superior to Juve side (not by much) and as a cohesive team this Juve side is superior to RM side. RM's squad depth can be a decisive factor in the end if the game goes to extra time.
50/50 during the 90 minutes since anything can happen but if this goes to extra time is 80/20 to Real easily. I can't see this RM side lose to anyone in extra time.

This has the potential to be the best final in ages.

Real usually start slow, Juve strong. So my guess is Juve will take the lead.

After that, Real will start controlling the game and their superiority in midfield (both numerical and qualitative) will show. That's when the real game starts: Real's attack vs Juve's defense.

If Real are to win this game, they will need (another) comeback. The stage is set for Gigi to stop them :)

Ronnie will be doing the business today, hopefully Real can do it. Mourinho has been portrayed as the devil, but what Juve did with their match fixing shit still boils my blood.

Well first of all you lost me. Its not "life" home. Its "football" home thats wat i meant. ManUtd is always his football home. (Well i don think u wanna argue Sporting for this one)

Well anyway not gonna argue for this one. Personally i think only 10-20% probability of him coming back, hence asking "any chance" in my first post.

Logic for 10-20% probability
1. Won much much more with RM, compared to MU. "Something fresh for him" = more determined/etc...
2. "Football" home. It always feels good
3. "We need help in attacking", he knows that

Well i noe u would argue for alot more things here: RM being his dream club, age, settled down, "we don need him back", etc etc.......thts why i only assign 10-20% , tho not impossible

Take it easy mate......

This is such an intriguing final, maybe the most intriguing since ours against Barcelona in 2009. After that Barcelona were just too good for anyone and the way they played meant they didn't even allow you play back. The other finals had one clear favourite (maybe not the case with Atlético vs Real). This is much closer and two clubs who are both top teams for very different reasons, neither of which lead to total control like Barcelona. Nobody can defend like Juventus but Real's individuals, familiarity and experience is on a higher levels. It is a cliché but as is the case most of the time in these encounters, the first goal wins it. At this level, most clubs are comfortable sitting back or countering, Juve are experts in the former and Real at the latter.

Hard to bet against a team that has a player that scored 8 goals (2 hattricks) in the QF + SF and looks fresh like its still early season.

After 2009 Barca didn't even make the final in 2010

Anything can happen with Ronaldo on the pitch so with that I'm going all out on this. 3-2 Real.
Winker Ron to score at least 2.

I don't think you can separate "football home" from "life home" especially in the stage where he's at. Having won all there is and being past his prime any moves from now on are bound to be about life quality. I'm not sure if I even understand the concept of "football home".

I'm taking it easy, I don't know if you perceive this as an argument. It's just a conversation for me.

Really looking forward to the 2017 FIFA Club World Cup qualification (UEFA Play-off)

Would Khedira become the first player to win a Champions League final against a former club (who he also won a final with)?

It's not showing up on ITV listings and the papers are saying it's only on BT showcase. It is however going to be streamed on Youtube.

Awesome, didn't know that. Cheers!

Did Pique get a medal in 08? Then he won it with Barca in 09 against us.
