La Liga 2013-2014

Atleti are unstoppable! Can't believe their season. He plays almost the same XI every week too.

Just goes to show the magic big motivators like Fergie and Simone can work up even if tactically they may not be the strongest about.
I think someone said the other day that they are a throwback to a tough 90s team against the modern say sissies. Perfect comparison.

Don't watch.

I watched City - Liverpool earlier on. It's not worth it.
Listening to Onda Cero as I'm stuck at work. But yeah, still sucks.

What is it? 4 games left after this one? We need them to drop at least 4 points and win all our remaining games... never going to happen. :(

Oh well, lesser of two evils and all that I guess. Hats off to them if they pull it off.

Juve under Lippi?

He is playing with two strikers as well. You see, everything works if you get clear instructions from your manager and coaches and if the manager knows what he is doing!

Get the chequebook out and bribe referees. I honestly can't picture Atletico winning it.

Juve under Lippi?
Juve under Lippi first time around were uber. If they had won those two CL finals, they would have been one of the great modern teams. 3 CL finals in a row it was.

I don't they compare directly with Atletico though. They had much more talent throughout that team. If anything in 99 we showed that they could be over come by a more motivated group as well. They taught us a proper lesson at OT in first leg semi where we fluked a equalizer. That return leg was something else though

I just remember games against them before 99' where we just couldn't get near them. From about 95-98 they were the standard we wanted to reach in Europe, Fergie admitted that. We played them a few times before 99 and they were too advanced and just had too much know-how for us at the time. Undoubtedly Juve had better individuals than this Atletico, they had some truly world class players, whereas I don't believe Atletico have one really. I was referring more to the mentality and general ruthlessness.

I really cannot understand why they still allow Diego Costa to take penalties, he's horrible at them. Always looks nervous and he's already missed 3 this season...

Costa trying to fool the keeper by looking far too much at the opposite side. Easy read from the keeper.

Was just thinking the same. Had a bet on him to score tonight but never felt confident when I seen him step up.

Costa

Hope he leaves that shite out against Chelsea! Atleti won't end the games with 11 players otherwise.
