It was possibly a shoulders width, but the linesman would have given it only if Benzema had touched the ball.

I think Modric is now the best CM in the world. I know he doesn't score, but he is incredible in the middle of the park and stands out in a league full of technically fantastic CM's.

I just don't see why some hype up Ramos. He seems vastly overrated and prone to too many mistakes. If he were not at Real (or Barca) would he get in the Spain squad?

I think he's actually pretty fancy as well though, but it's often not seen. For example, if you look at Madrid last chance when Ronaldo fluffed it, that all started with the most outrageous pass by Modric, where he curled it using the outside of his foot. It was so casual, that I don't think it was even noticed by many people. He's a genius.
His balance and ability to change direction is unbelievable. He's just so smooth on the ball and he floats past people. I know people will argue the Barca CMs are better, but honestly I don't think they are. The claims of Schweini or Gundogan being better are crazy in my opinion.
