La Liga 2013-2014

Twice there has been afters on Neymar, there is playing hard and then just being dicks, not nice to see.

I watched only the last 20 minutes and Atletico cried more than Barcelona. Did you see how they were screamig (including Simeone) after Pedro got the ball back cleanly in Barcelona's half?

There was also a very clear yellow on Costa (for pulling back Alba from behind when he was rushing forward) that I don't understand why the ref didn't think it was yellow worthy..

How about a minimum of a yellow on Arda for stamping Alves? A booking for what was like 10 fouls on Costa. Pique being booked for putting a ball out of play and giving Atletico an undeserved fk for a scoring opportunity. Mascherano booked for Costa's dive, I mean there were countless examples but this is Lahoz

Barca don't win=cry at the ref.

Anyway, I'm going to watch Rakitic vs Elche now and cry myself to sleep that he's not yet signed up. I assume Ed's on his way there on a private jet as we speak.

2 footer from Mascherano was a straight red. Few bad offside calls in favour of Barcelona too, plus other poor calls. Just don't think that ref is cut out for these games.

Well, that was fun - what I saw of it. It's kind of fitting that we hit the halfway point of the year with the two of them still neck and neck. Outstanding work.

Somebody's just said that if La Liga had been the last 38 matches (if you see what I mean) Atletico would have won it. I haven't checked the statement, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's true.

Ivan Rakitic just played a 60-yard pass to the foot of Bacca one-on-one with the keeper.

Missed the first touch, but what a fecking pass.

I would be very surprised if that's true.. Atletico had a very bad second half last season.. They were second in the first half and ended up a distant third at the end of the season..

Barcelona finished the season with 100 points, 24 more than Atletico, I don't think Atletico were 25 points behind Barcelona at the end of the first half of the season, because I'm pretty sure they were still second at and a few weeks after the first half ended.

Don't have the numbers right now, but would imagine Barcelona outscored them by some 10 points in the second half of last season.
