It's happened loads tonight in both games. Any player gets a waft of a hand on or near their face, and they are on the ground. It's painful to watch.

Depends what he got the red for. The initial "shove" to the other dudes face was nothing but coming together of heads (Can't really call it a headbutt) and scratch was approaching redworthy.
Rescinded? You're having a fecking laugh. He could have gone for either incident when he raised his hands or the head to head. Iturraspe should be off too though. He deserves a red for appealing for a non-existent handball in a blatant cheating attempt.

That kind of stuff should be a red in any game. Red cards for pushes and pathetic head-to-head tussles is pretty embarrassing, but a scratch in the face? feck that. That's a cnut's move right there.
Ronaldo walked into trouble there. Odd to see. He used to get sent off in his first season, he stopped falling into the trap after that. Surprising to see it tonight. I'd be surprised if it's more than a 1 game ban though.
I think so. He's an absolute enigma, he comes on and looks fantastic and produces very often, yet will start the next game back on the bench.

I must have missed the scratch. I saw the shove of the head which was a nothing incident. The coming together of heads should have had them both sent off, though I thought that was a nothing incident as well.

Ridiculous red card, going by this, Costa should get three red cards per game. But that's la liga, these kind of scenes are happening in pretty much every game, really disgusting to watch.

Agree with this - if it's the latter then it's a deserved red; Madrid fortunate not to be down to 9 the way Alonso has played.
Clear read, if anyone thinks otherwise and thinks should be rescinded should have his head examined. The Bilbao player should be off as well.
