La Liga 2013-2014

Ray Hudson going a little over the top as usual. It was a decent goal, deflected in but nothing more.

The front 3 of Ronaldo-Bale-Di Maria isn't working at the moment. Benzema might be having a shit season but he at least understands how to play as the centre forward. Usually plays well against Barca too.

Bale anonymous so far with the exception of 2 wild shots.

Messi not in the game yet.

Messi's passing has been way off since coming back from injury... not really involved against Osasuna, terrible v Milan and now already made several lazy misplaced passes.

Bale has had very little football to be fair. Not sure he should have started this game. He needs to find his feet and this is not the game you want to be doing that.

Watching these two is just so utterly depressing. We're so far behind them in every sense that its not even worth a comparison anymore :(

As an aside, I think I could watch Iniesta all day. His play is just beautiful

Ronaldo's brought a lot of that rolling around back. Last few seasons he cut most of the feigning injuries out of his game but it's been back lately. Doesn't really dive though, so it's not bad.

Sometimes you ask for it.

If that isn't a glory hunter post I don't know what is. You make it sound like you are following Macclesfield each week. Yes we are well behind these two as well as some other European clubs. But it really doesn't depress me.
I've heard the same last year before we played Madrid and looked the better side.

Agree on this. However tactical wise and positional wise he is so lost it's odd

I'm a bit confused about Bale's position, is he supposed to be playing central striker? Why is he playing there?

I just hate how every little bit of contact turns into a show of seemingly excruciating pain with players rolling on a pitch in fake agony in Madrid vs Barca games.

Despicable behavior, but it seems to be the norm there.

Why is Isco not playing? At least Madrid could play quick counterattacks through the middle with him in the side. I have really no idea what Bale is supposed to do?

Deflected

He aimed for the meg, clever finish. Neymar with a big feck you to the haters.. the boy is the real deal, alongside Iniesta the best player on the pitch. Unlike Messi and Ronaldo, Neymar will go on to be one of those players that makes a consistent impact in big matches.
