Actually I have seen Ronaldo tracking back a bit more in recent games...and Gazza is on top of his game so far this season...He may well keep Kewel quiet without too much help.
Fletcher does track back a little more than Ronaldo, but IMHO Ronaldo will give Traore (or Riise) a lot more problems as neither of the Scouse LBs can defend very well at all against pace & trickery. :D

Kewell will probably be out to prove a point to us though.
We can always ask Phil to help out a little more with the RB area if Kewell proves to be on his game on Sunday. With Owen half fit, I think we should be able to contain them very well. :smirk:

Pre match Ged will talk to Riise

"Don't look at his hair, it will only confuse you. It's pointless. Oh, and don't look at his stepovers. They are also pointless."

;)

I fully expect you lot to win.

I think it´s gonna be close, not gonna make any big statements before the game those always backfire !

Still laughing at the "i think it was the chairman of the icelandic liverpool supporters club" that was all cracking jokes about forlan and gary neville Live on Tv before the game at anfield last desember !
He didn´t say much after game

Grahan Poll is the ref for Sunday...

At least it's not D'Urso

I am sliding slightly with the idea of Fletcher starting ahead of Ronaldo. Kewell could give Gary all sorts of problems if he's left alone with him, and Ronaldo offers no tracking back whatsoever. After sixty odd minutes, if we're having trouble breaking them down, then we can unleash our (not so) secret weapon. :D

Ronaldo was doing an excelent job in tracking back on Tuesday (for the scousers that was during a Champions League game). I guess a little hairdrying straighten him out. With his pace there is not problem for him covering in the back and then lanching a counter attack.

Howard
Neville G
Rio
Silvestre
Fortune
Ronaldo
Keane
Phil
Forlan
Giggs
Ruud

Subs: Carroll, JOS, Djemba, Fletcher, Bellion

Can't better Tuesday's team really.

When Ole will be back, he is out since Sept, & there is no news about him, regarding Suday's game i think it will be the same as last season,,,,But we need to be carefull in the openning minutes, we saw how the early goals conceded by Rangers left them chasing both games against United n the CL.
Good luck to the red devils.

Traore scored last night... :D

Hope that means he gets to play on Sunday!

I really think GH will start him.

FFS Cal.

You're building yourself up for a huge fall and looking an arrogant twat at the same time.
Come on, a little confidence & faith on the lads won't go amiss...

If they play quite frankly the WORST LB ever in the PL against us and we don't beat them, something is very wrong.

Hehehe

Cal continues to represent the stereotypical Man Utd fan...

Good lad

You gotta give it to Liverpool though, they`re still capable
of making our games against them, and the build up, a
nailbiting experience. There is no other game a season that
makes me as nervous as when we play the scousers.
They look more dangerous this year, with Kewell and Smicer\
Diouf looking better than ever. The more adventurous aproach
might do us good though, as we`ve had some problems with
them being ultra defensive before. Anyway it will be a close one
i am sure, and the Owen vs Ruud duell should decide
the outcome. ( Phil might not agree on that one)

I predict a loss for us and an outbreak of "United are in decline", "we've won the league" type outbursts from the scousers.

Though Lawro has predicted a win for them I see.
