Liverpool v Manchester United

What. The. Hell.

Crazy line-up, let's hope the others can get stuck in. Liking Jones in midfield, expecting a big performance by Fletcher et Young.

C'mon United!

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson explains his team selection at Anfield: "We felt we've been far too open recently. Bringing Phil Jones in midfield gives us more security. Wayne Roone's had a bad week. He was devastated at the suspension. I just felt he'd be better starting on the bench. Ji-Sung Park's very fresh. Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling missed the internationals, while Chicharito played a full 90 minutes against Brazil and didn't come back until Thursday."

My biggest worry is Suarez against Ferdinand. Not because of any trickery, but because you just know that if Rio slightly mistimes a tackle, Suarez is going over like he's had his ankle shattered.

We'll win it 2-0, Welbeck to score and show his 19 to the Anfield crowd and Jones to score to rub it in on what they missed out when he chose us over them.

I would love to be in that bar in New York, personally. What a day, United V Liverpool in the morning, Big Apple in the afternoon.

Berba sits around for two weeks, resting, 1st match back, and gets completely left out of the squad - yet Fergie won't sell him either.

No, I think he's in a better place to assess Rooney's mindset than anyone else, he's clearly got major issues in his private life, and I suspect he's gutted at the thought of missing the Euros. There's no way Rooney wouldn't have played had he been in the right frame of mine, Fergie's loathes leaving him out.

And seriously, Noodles, stop being Morrissey.

It's not just Rooney though is it? Just about every player on our bench would make the first team stronger if they were in it.

I still can't bring myself to like Rooney since the shenanegans last year anyway. He's an unprofessional cock if he's had to be left out today because of what he did playing for England.

Amazing bench BTW. But still very weird team. Not sure Welbeck is great upfront on his own either.

Fergie's obviously spent the international game sitting home, watching videos of the Norwich game and stewing. Valencia, Nani and Anderson have all paid the price for being so sloppy in our last game.

Norwich would probably have beaten this United XI though....

I'd have rather had an open game to be honest. We can hurt them as much as they can hurt us when going forward when we've got Rooney and co playing but instead it looks like we're playing to keep it tight and hit them on the break.

I'm so nervous, but looking forward to it.

I'm smiling about this lineup. We've made tactical decisions here and i hope they pay off. Cant blame Fergie for trying something different.

But if we dont do the business i expect another Noodle rant.

Now SAF as explained it.I can see where he's coming from.Never knew Hernandez had played in a freindly.

Maybe Sky are going around the world to show that our punditry relatively speaking is 'world class' by default of everybody else being rubbish.
