Liverpool v Manchester United

With how open we've looked recently and with our poor recent record at Anfield it was only natural SAF erred on the side of caution today.

Yeah there is definitely logic to it, and hopefully should give us a bit more strength and discipline at the back.

streams in my homepage. we're gonna score 5.

This line up will allow us to have people like Young and Giggs totally free to do whatever they want behind Welbeck. We are probably looking to tire them out and then step it up in second half with that strong bench. So we're probably going to win this one by having the wider squad.

Looks quite sunny. Heat should have an effect on the game.

we are so fecked:nervous:

That lineup speaks for sitting it down for 60 odd mins for 0-0 and then going for in in the last 30 mins.

Usually how we setup in Europe away, but with Rooney up front. Welbeck is inexperienced for this IMO. Big task for him at Anfield.

The battle will be in central midfield, and that's a battle Liverpool have won in the last couple of games against us at Anfield. Jones/Fletcher/Park are battlers, with Giggs and Young providing the creativity, against Lucas, Adam, Kuyt, Gerrard and Downing. Should be a good game. C'mon Utd!

I am surprised at all your reactions, you always get depressed when they kick your side out of the game at Anfield when you go to play.

Maybe two UCL final defeats to Barcelona after going for it has changed Ferguson's mindset.

Yes it is.

It's the same trick Wenger sometimes pulls at Old Trafford.

Get a result and it's a "masterstroke". Lose and you've got a ready made excuse.

Fergie's worried about the CL and City games so much he's left players out for a game against Liverpool...Wstart the season looking like we've finaly grown a set of balls again, and it's taken less than ten games to revert back to type. Figures.

I want Roy Keane back.

No, I think he's in a better place to assess Rooney's mindset than anyone else, he's clearly got major issues in his private life, and I suspect he's gutted at the thought of missing the Euros. There's no way Rooney wouldn't have played had he been in the right frame of mine, Fergie's loathes leaving him out.

And seriously, Noodles, stop being Morrissey.

Fergie's worried about the CL and City games so much he's left players out for a game against Liverpool (he wouldn't have needed to worry about the CL game if he hadn't treated the previous two as training excercises, btw)...We start the season looking like we've finaly grown a set of balls again, and it's taken less than ten games to revert back to type. Fergie out - Keane in?

Well, we've conceeded many chances to teams that do not have Liverpool's ability going forward, we still have enough going forward, we are now much more assured at the back, which is what we need playing Liverpool away. We can't give them the shots or chances we've allowed other teams.

Those front four can play anywhere in attack. This is going to be interesting.

Hope someone reminded Young it's okay to shoot. Since those first goals he's rarely had a go.

After seeing that team I would be delighted with a point right now. Looks like saf is going back to last seasons shit slow football. Going to be crap to watch but we might scrape something.

I'm happy that Jones is in the middle but leaving our two best players on the bench is baffling especially for this game.

What does picking Park over Valencia show? That we need to contain Downing?!

New York. Apparently the place to be for this match.
