Liverpool Vs Manchester United

Very strong bench too. All attacking changes apart from Evans, Neville could be used late on in the game to whip in some crosses if we're getting a bit desperate.

Arguably our strongest attacking line-up. I can't fecking wait!

By Lucas and Mascherano?..

Graham Alexander and Chris McCann, they ran there arses off when we played at Burnley with Giggs and Carrick in the middle. Lucas and Mascherano will not stop running and making it hard for Carrick and Scholes to get space.

I'm surprised Anderson isn't in the starting line up, aside from Fletcher and Hargreaves. He is the only one who seems to rough it up a bit and put a foot in.

oh I love this fixture. potential for pain and hurt but when we win............oh man its the sweetest thing

From BBC

From Rafael & Fabio on 606: "I've never, ever liked the combination of Scholes-Carrick - they rarely, if ever, play well together, especially in a 'big' game. I would have liked to see Anderson - he gives us more bite."

Did this person completely miss the 06/07 season?

got a dilemna today. big family dinner on in my mums this afternoon. brother is a liverpool fan. so if we lose I cant go there without slapping him around and thats never good. so I'll just have to stay away. win and I get to show up smiling all evening. CMON UNITED

I do think that Anderson should've started.

Carrick better be on his A game...

feckin yes. 4-4-2 with Berb and Rooney. I want to see us take them to the sword. The last two times we've played em weve got the early goal but allowed them back in. This time we need to do it and kill em off. Easier said then done but very possible.

You do realise Rooney will be played out left and asked to shackle Johnson? This won't be 4-4-2 at all.

:boring:
Clueless twat... 606... No real surprise.
We beat Chelsea in the Champions League Final with Scholes - Carrick as well. Unbelievable.

Very good lineup! fecking SSN making me think SAF had left out the Berbator. We'll miss Fletch but I like the attacking and passing abilities in that side. I'm excited now. Off to the pub I need some chilling ale

We'll see. Berbatov is completely ineffective if played alone upfront. SAF knows that without Ronaldo in the team, we just don't have someone who works as a lone striker. I think he'll go 4-4-2.

Good grief.

If one of our players keeps Benayoun quiet then Torres will feel a little stranded up there

A lot depends on wich Scholes that shows up today.
If he is on top of his game we have a good chance of getting the points.
If not, it could be a frustrating afternoon.

Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Agger, Insua, Lucas, Mascherano, Benayoun, Kuyt, Aurelio, Torres.

Subs: Cavalieri, Voronin, Babel, Ngog, Spearing, Degen, Skrtel.

Man Utd: Van der Sar, O'Shea, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs, Berbatov, Rooney.

Subs: Foster, Neville, Owen, Anderson, Nani, Fabio Da Silva, Jonathan Evans.

I'm concerned, would much rather see Giggs and Carrick in the middle for big games. I'm just always worried about Scholes tackling in big away games.

Even as one of Paul Scholes' biggest fans, I have to agree. Let's just hope this is one of his good days, because just lately he tends to be either superb or abysmal.

I'm liking what our away fans are doing: the red balloons, the Cantona masks, the class banners (Giggs 11 Gerrard 0, We're Back - 18 Times, Arise Sir Ryan). Our fans will be class today, they always are but today especially.

Stewards having a mare clearing up red balloons.

, at least the where smiling about it.....a scouser with a sense of humour has got to be a rariety.

Also I'm so pumped for this match today, we owe them for last season.

starting with Carrick and Scholes means that we are going to try and keep possesion and kill them off with class
