Barclays Premier League
Anfield
Sunday 25th October 2009
KO - 14:00 GMT

Was it?I didn't have it prepared, just saw nobody had made it the minute the whistle went which shocked me.
Anyway, eager to get talking about this one.
VDS
O'Shea Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Valencia Fletcher Carrick Nani
Berbatov Rooney
Is what I'd prefer, not sure if we should go 4-4-2 though.
Giggs instead of Nani I think.
if the have no stevie me and lady boy we will thrash them

Gerrard and Torres out of United game
October 21, 2009
Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres will both be on the sidelines for Liverpool’s clash against Manchester United.
Gerrard and Torres both had scans this morning on their respective injuries and have been ruled out of the game against United on Sunday.
Torres, who has an abdominal strain, and Gerrard, who came off against Lyon before half-time complaining of a niggle in his groin, will both be out for up to 7 days.
A source at the club said: “Both Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard had scans in the morning and will miss the game against Manchester United however, should be available against Arsenal in the Carling Cup.
“If both do not recover in time, they might feature only against Fulham on 31st October at Craven Cottage.
“Glen Johnson didn’t need a scan on his injury. He was feeling much better than he was yesterday and will be okay for the game against Man United.”
Could have sworn they didn't have them last time we played them at Anfield and they beat us 2 - 1.
I am sure both played at some point, they are also missing alonso as well this year, and last season they wernt playing as shite as they are now

I'd go with
VDS
O'Shea-Rio-Vidic-Evra
Valencia-Anderson-Fletcher-Giggs
Berbatov-Rooney
Fletch-Carrick would probaly still be enough but it = crap football.
but carricks height from set-pieces would give us another lift
I'd rather just totally outplay them than worry about set-pieces and look workmanlike in open play.
as has been said the only times we have outplayed are the two away European games and wigan away, and that was only the second half
I'd disagree..whenever Anderson has featured, we have played attractive football whenever he is paired alongside Fletch or Carrick. Games like Spurs this season, Citeh.. we were playing some great football, let down by some woeful defending (more individual errors rather than a result of a tactical error).
Carrick-Fletch will still be good enough, but it's not one I'm a fan of.
we might have played attractive football but at times we have been left wide open, and against city we were more efficient than anything, and once again the goals all came from set-pieces, these are our best option of killing off there title bid and winning back bragging rights IMO
