Liverpool vs. Manchester United

Id like to see Hernandez brought on, this midfield should provide him with decent service and test thier slow defence.

Who cares? It's not affecting him and they're showing the world that they want to keep racism in the game.

I think they might have sung 'there's only one lying bastard' but there's shitloads more than that at Anfield. We're still waiting for Dalglish's super secret information that the report kept from us to see the light of day.

It's not that I truly care about it.I'd just like to know what's the reason behind it ?What motivates them to actually boo him ?

Here's the things iSPARKY, I don't think he was. he was just not being supplied by our midfield, neither was Evra - everything was going down our right to Tony V. Park made several excellent defensive challenges before he scored that goal.

Here's the thing, (and I don't know why you typed my username in capitals but anyway...) he was losing the ball, he looked at times as if he could barely stay on his feet. By his standards he was way below par.

Would we have set up different with Nani and Rooney in the team? More attacking?

Because we never lose to a team below 8th? Stoke are a good team.

Absolutely, they're about as good as Liverpool, but what does that even have to do with anything? Do you mean that Stoke isn't a team we should line up to beat every time we play them?

We're dominating the game, I like this formation away from home. Scholes, Carrick - class. Good finish from Park.

COME ON UNITED!

They're also singing "there's only one lying bastard".

It's because they are thick, quite simply.

Can't hear the chants as its not loud enough in the pub but apparently they're pretty disgusting, what's being sang?

Rafael is my MoM so far. Brilliant performance from him today, goes to show what we've been missing this season. Stay fit Rafael!

Agree, been longing for him to come back all season. He should be our undisputed first choice at right back.

So a player that has been abysmal in the first half can't be called out?

What's the point in being a fan?

I would wager even Park would admit he wasn't up to par in the first half. But fans can't make the point, oh holier than thou one.

Ah, and it proves people don't know football. Right. All you do is bitch bitch bitch.

No I don't bitch bitch bitch. Think you'll find its all those who slate players who just 'bitch bitch bitch'. You need to get your definitions sorted out.

I observe and support. Big difference.

Has a lot to do with Liverpool sitting deep and allowing them all the time in the world. I'm sure Kenny will be telling them to close down Scholes. Then again, they had a tiring game mid week and that will take up a lot of energy.

They are still by far the best midfield we've had for ball retention in a long time. Liverpool having 5 at the back and relying and Henderson and Gerrard to get the ball off them does make them look on another level though

I agree. I also think Hernandez is more suited to this game than Welbeck, our only good penetration has come from right wing crosses, Hernandez is perfect for getting on the end of some low Valencia crosses.

Their defence plays pretty deep though not much space for Hernandez. He has scored at Anfield his 2 past visits though.

Our central midfield trio have been superb in controlling the game in fairness. Liverpool are only threatening in set pieces and breakaways.

This

We don't want cock things up by adding a striker and depleting the midfield. Take them back to OT if we have to

Why isn't Bellamy playing for Liverpool?

If that's accurate, I'd like to see LFC punished as a club, not just the fan. They helped create the kind of atmosphere where a fan might think such a thing is acceptable through their handling of the Suarez situation.

The whole situation and the mess it has turned into is their fault. You can't account for an individual doing the wrong thing on the spur of the moment but as an institution it was in their hands as to how to react to the problem and it was always going to be the handling of both sides that would either aggravate the problem or calm it down. We, to our credit, did our part. But Liverpool didn't. Imagine if we had also reacted as poorly as Liverpool did.

I beg to differ. What did he do that led to any Liverpool superiority?

Anyway, .... its all about goals and that was one classy finish.

From Oilysailor on Twitter:

Most passes for Man Utd in the 1st half: Scholes 75, Carrick 60, Giggs 39. For Liverpool it was Gerrard 28, Carragher 23, Downing/Maxi 22.

Well that's it isn't it. We're away from home against Liverpool, I'd worry if we where away from home against Stoke. They have certainly dropped in quality since they chased us to the title, but its the FA Cup.

Their first 11 still without a few Bellamy has some quality.

Hilsborough chants from our lot apparently according to a few Liverpool goons on twitter, trying to deflect off the booing to Evra?
