Liverpool vs. Manchester United

The thing is, its still more than a decent lineup but for some reason giggs starting ahead of cleverley has pissed me off. Oh well atleast we will hear some giggsy jokes through out the match.

Clev and ando are Suitable as excuses to why we dont need another CM. when shit hits fan saf will always turn to his old guard.

Has Fergie just lost his balls on something?

Cleverley and/or Anderson are never going to be trusted in games like this until he literally has no choice...even when they blatanty make us a much better team.
Yup it pisses me right off.

Like My good man Steven said, we will win. They ought to be more scared of us than we of them lads. We've got Van Persie Kagawa Nani and Valencia. feck me. Is that a strong front 4 or what.

Injury to another central defender in today's match would be a nightmare.

I don't get the dislike of Lindegaard, he's done nothing wrong and would have been harsh to drop him for today.

Lindegaard's selection is fine i think, the pressure he may come under due to Vidic missing out and the midifield selection is another matter. We shall see.

Giggs and Carrick in CM = slow static football. I don't understand the rotation of keepers if I'm being honest.

Where is Vidic? Evans has never inspired me with any confidence.

No dislike for him here, I just think DDG is the better keeper and should be No1.
I think we have always played as a team better with a steady No1 keeper playing week in week out.
It is not good for either player, SAF should decide who he wants has No1.

Subs: DDG Anderson Chicharito Welbeck Scholes Cleverley Büttner.

That is a very good bench. I expect Scholes will come on for Giggs around the 70th minute mark to control the game for us. We'll grab a late winner then.

Yeah me to. Just think Giggs is a better impact player these days. When he starts to me he is not as good. Come on Ryan prove me wrong you legend

Nothing to do with balls. When they're in the team we're wide open. I presume we need to keep things tighter in tough away games like this.

There's no dislike for him. Its just that there's a very good reason why no fecking top team rotates Goalkeepers. Even more so when there's no settled defence.

Anderson and Cleverley will be as old and out of legs as Giggs and Scholes before Fergie is ready to play the ahead of either.

Another game where our midfield sits still and gets pressured completely out of the game then...

Had a suspicion Giggs would start.

Scholes is probably shattered and should come on with 25 minutes to go. Cleverley has failed to impress in a deeper role this season imo. Anderson meanwhile has barely had a look in. All in all it's not a huge surprise he's opted for Giggs.

Liverpool's midfield today doesn't look like it will either dominate possession nor kick and hassle us out of it. So in midfield it looks pretty even. In the attacking third, that's where we should win it.

Cleverley and Carrick had a chance to prove themselves as a partnership and it turned out to be utter shit. Anderson hasn't had a game in a while and could quite easily be rubbish. Giggs is our best alternative to partner Carrick at the moment.

We've got RVP. Remember him lads? Ex-Arse captain. Single handedly beat Liverpool last season?? Chill out lads. We got this :D

Why not play one of them so we actually have some movement in midfield?

We already know that not doing this doesn't work against Liverpool at Anfield. We've found this out again and again for the last five years in a row.

Its funny how we claim cleverley and anderson(ok to a lesser extent) are the future but when it comes to the moment, we prefer a 38 year old winger in midfield over him. You've got to believe that cleverley has the character to deal with the situation. I still think we can win this but I would've preferred anderson or cleverley.

Yeah agreed to an extent, just like the city game we've left out other players for the experience of giggs. But for the likes of clev how are twy going to get the experience we need or us seem how they can do in the big games if they're left out.

On the other hand clev showed his inexperience and weaknesses against Southampton that maybe has fergie thinking he needs a bit more time. If he played how he did in that game we'd have big issues.

That midfield will be opened up like a hot knife through butter.
Going to need someone like RVP or Kagawa to pull off miracles.

But extreme, giggs and carrick have played very well against much better teams. All depends on which giggs shows up. Anyway not like clev or scholes would lead to a more solid midfield, each have their own issues.

There was zero movement in midfield last time Cleverley - Carrick started.

So we've gone with the empty space midfield. Hopefully Gerrard plays as terrible as he has in the games against city and Arsenal. But more importantly, hopefully our wall doesn't cave in like a hooker grannys lady lips for one of his awful free kicks.

It's a great bench. Maybe some hope of getting an improvement from there if things go to shit.

As I said before, I don't really buy into your 'zombie' theory. Plus Giggs and Kagawa have plenty of movement.

 Made me laugh for much longer than it should have.

Does Rodgers not rate Enrique? Playing Johnson there doesn't seem great.
