Liverpool

Liverpool have 15 points from 30 possible in their past 10 league matches after that "amazing" start (9 from 9). That's a pace for 38 points over the final 25 matches if current form holds true. Yet again proving a start out of the gate isn't always a sign of how a season will unfold.

Lesbian owl  I'll give you the owl bit. But that's a horrible reason/excuse to play Sturridge. Liverpool fans must be livid. Imagine Roy doing that to Rooney.

I think he is trying to wind up Liverpool fans on purpose.

Like this part - I’d rather the players got injured now.'

Ferguson made him play him and then made him take the blame, damn that Ferguson, still prodding Liverpool off that perch even in retirement. Don't be to harsh on the old lezzer owl, he's only doing as instructed.

that roy is a fecking cnut.

My hatred for the odious lesbian owl is stronger now than it has been in a long time.

Seriously, that interview is utterly bizarre. WTF is going on in his mind?

Can it be some kind of a revenge, after he was ousted from Liverpool?

More likely a kind of revenge for having to sit with the scouts like all the previous England managers when he last came to Anfield instead of the executive box. He had some mateys in the media tweeting about the indignity of it all before halftime.

He won't be laughing when Sturridge has his quarterly injury the day before the world cup kicks off. After he finishes the prem season on 15+ goals. That's what one injury does to a glass player I'm afraid. One injury leads to another.

It's a laughable fact in itself that Sturridge is suddenly so important in the England scheme of things.

TbF we'd be fecking pissed if he did similar with Rooney, but since he didn't its funny as feck.

Cant wait till Jan 1st to see what Suarez will do to try to get out of Liverpool.

He really did that  ? That's pathetic if true.

Still have no idea how the bloke is England manager. He's an absolute clown.

I don't even think that's the issue here tbh. It's a stupid thing to do regardless of the status of the player.

Reckon we need 7 points out of the Spurs, Cardiff, City and Chavs games. Do that and I'd be starting to get confident of a top 4 finish. Cardiff is a must win and I think we'll beat Spurs too.

The second half of our season sees us play all the dross away from home and the bigger teams at home. January will be crucial to us. If we can bring in that Montoya lad and a midfielder, as well as keep Suarez, I think we'll just about scrape it.

'Dross'! You cheeky monkey, Lord Barn! :D

It's your best chance in years of a Champions League finish, Barney. Blow it this year and I think you'll struggle for another while. You, like Arsenal, need to strike whilst United, Chelsea and City are still bedding in their new managers.

Agreed. If we do qualify, we need to invest heavily. I think we'd be embarrassed if the current squad was in the CL.

5-6 points from it would still be a very good return. If we get more, I'd start thinking title challenge moreso than top 4 challenge.

A change in mindset is also needed from Rodgers when we play away. We've seen with Martinez what can be achieved when you're brave enough to take the game to the opposition when playing on their own patch. It's turning us Liverpool fans into 'dual-personality nutters'. We thrash a side at home one week, & suddenly we're dreaming of CL football next season. With some even talking of a title challenge. The next match, when we're away from home, we play like goblins on speed, & lose (deservedly) to the likes of Hull City.

As it stands, we've played United, Arsenal, Southampton, Everton, & Newcastle & taken just 5 points out of a possible 15 from those aforementioned sides. & at no stage in any of those matches did we look to be in a position of control. For me, that's a big worry, & it's the reason why I think, at this moment in time, we don't have what it takes to break back into the top 4. Hope the manager & team can prove me wrong.

Look at you ambitious and all ;)

More than six points means taking points from the two most difficult away grounds in the league.

And top teams away is definitely our most likely points drop this season. Taking points there, besides also making sure competitors drop valuable points at home, would be a major statement of intent.

Of those games, only Soton and Manchester have been at home. We failed against soton granted (and equally so at Hull), but other than that I am quite content to be drawing away from home against Everton and Newcastle. I don't think losing to Arsenal away is something to be crowing about.

And what's more important, we've recovered well every time. I don't think it's inconsistency. I think it's actually showing a very level form curve for a team well on track for 75+ points.

Not quite good enough to take points against the best away from home, but good enough, and stable enough, to take home the points needed in less demanding fixtures. Given that we don't have the best squad in the league, I think that shows a positive reflection of what Rodgers is getting out of his players.

Rumours of Stevie out for 6 weeks. Coutinho really can't pick up a knock or it'll be Luis and Simon vs the entire opposition.

Fear ye not, the Welsh Xavi is back on form. :D Little Allen will see us through this patch.

I think 7 would give me the confidence for top 4. Don't think we'll title challenge, we just don't have the depth.

Luis Suarez 10 games 14 goals 4 assists. Ratio: 1.4
Ronaldo 14 games 17 goals 3 assists Ratio: 1.21
Diego Costa 15 games 15 goals 1 assist. Ratio: 1
Ibrahimovic 16 games 13 goals 6 assists Ratio: 0.81

Falcao 14 games 9 goals 0 assists Ratio: 0.64
;)
Suarez has scored 11 goals in 5 games at anfield. Manchester United have scored 8 goals in 8 games at Old Trafford. If he keeps this up, he's heading for the Ronaldo bracket.
