Prefers blue over red, loathed by Spurs fans
Liverpool fans stop pretending you'd be happy with top 4. You want the title and you are in the title race... If you don't win it you will be disappointed.
Don't blame them for acting modest. This is our territory after all.Liverpool fans stop pretending you'd be happy with top 4. You want the title and you are in the title race... If you don't win it you will be disappointed.

I think they'll end up at around 105 goals or so. Incredible scoring rate in the second half of the season. As far as I can remember it took them a while to get their goal tally up. A lot of 1-0 wins early on.
If you lose it on the last kick of the season you'll be more than slightly disappointed... Obviously been a successful season... Just hope something happens that stops you lot from playing as well as this again next year.I want the title. I'll be slightly disappointed. This season will still have been a complete success even if we don't win it.
57 in our last 17 games.
They just don't look like dropping points...at all!
The only way this season is going to get worse is if they win the league. I think I am a reaching a stage now where losing to City might not be a bad thing![]()
It pains me to say that I have reached that stage. Would rather lose to City than do Pool any favours.
I'll be happy with CL and building to challenge next year. This is more than anyone hoped for.
Didn't this exact thing happen in 2009 though? You ran United a close second for the league, played very well, and it was the start of a "new dawn". There's no way we can't keep this up lads, etc etc. Then you promptly collapsed and returned to old ways for the next four seasons.
Very true but I think we have a batch of young players coming through that will ensure that doesn't happen. Also think Rodgers simply 'gets' the Pl more than Benitez did, the way we've played this season proves that its very reminiscent of United in their prime, Benitez at time could be too cautious, I think Rodgers understands that it isn't necessarily the most organized or defensively astute team that wins the league, Benitez at times could overcomplicate things even against the lower placed team.
Interviewer: "Do you see Liverpool as genuine title challengers?"
Solskjaer: "Couldn't care less"
they wont overcome either City or Chelsea...
This season can definitely be a stepping stone, but it's not certain. Next season you'll have Champions League on your plate, which will be a new experience for most of the team, certainly together. You'll probably be adding to the squad, which could help - but also disrupt what looks like excellent chemistry. Chelsea, City and other teams can also improve and maybe teams will find a way to play against you. If you don't seize the day, you may not get a second chance.
You hope.
Yeah, but even we looked like a team in the wilderness for a while that season. It needed the signing of Cantona to push us forward. You just never know.
This could be a stepping stone for Liverpool or a missed chance that isn't going to return soon, depending on how they use it.
with you lot...its a certainty you wont .
its a missed chance. United, City and Chelsea have more money.
Has the time not come for posters to stop using wishful thinking as fact when it comes to Liverpool?with you lot...its a certainty you wont .

Obviously silly to say they won't qualify for FFP, I think it is becoming increasingly obvious that these regulations are a bit of a joke.
Did chuckle at the 1st comment though I must say.![]()
Yeah, it's a joke. They should probably rewrite the original rules now that Liverpool have qualified as it's a complete joke.FFP doesnt apply to liverpool for next years CL which is a complete joke and a major flaw in the regulations.

So far this season I've read...
1. They'll tail off in the New Year - best form since New Year
2. If Suarez stops scoring they're screwed - Sturridge stepped up brilliantly
3. Can't compete with City and Chelsea - out scored both and very similar points trajectory
