Liverpool

SAF learnt from it though, just like he learnt from all those away defeats to crappy euro teams in the CL. Let's see if BR does the same.

Very true. Rodgers is a young manager and I think he'll learn from this season immensely. The lack of a plan B or at the very least, a reluctance to change the style as seen against the Chavs will be the first thing I think he needs to do. Sometimes you just have to win.

Liverpool are 5/1 for the title next year with the bookies, the same as United.

City 15/8, Chelsea 9/4, Arsenal 11/1.

Ferguson was very rigid in his 442 during his early years. Took him too long to learn. Brendan speaks fluent Spanish, learnt his trade abroad and frequently alters formation. I'm looking forward to our group of death next season (and the money obviously! Yum).

Are odds not set by the money bet by people?

Is this not ridiculously early to be setting odds as well? There's the small matter of player transfers and managerial posts to be filled?

I imagine Man Utd's odds would be slightly different for example depending if they hired LVG or I don't know.....Sherwood

...if it is any consolation...your lot have played the best football in the Prem...and Rodgers is easily the manager of the year for me.

You lot have finally found the right manager.

Yep, thanks. I can understand the joy and relief of fans on here to be honest. Being on the other side for so long myself. Yes, Rodgers is a great manager and I look forward to further development under him. With CL football and players beginning to admire his style we should be able to attract semi decent players this time round. Unlike the cnuts Miktariyan, Salah, Willian, who went for a paypacket and ended up becoming bus drivers.

I was surprised you lot came this far...and before I go too far...City may yet stumble..unlikely though it may be.

The simple fact is City and Chelsea...will always spend big. So it will always be an ask to overcome them. As for us...this summer we may spend...just to strengthen a relatively weaker squad. So next season will imo be between Chelsea and City for the title. We don't know what van Gaal will do.

So how will the mancs will celebrate CITY winning the title? Champagne? Fireworks. Please don't ever call CITY your rivals again after the way you lot seemed to kiss up to them in the last two weeks.
I would be devasted if EVERTON won the league. What has happened to united?

Clutching at straws much? If we hadn't won it for 24 years and Everton had just recently won it and built a very strong squad with potential to strengthen further you would be dying for Everton to win it.

They can strengthen but ultimately they can only put 11 men on the pitch. Chelsea's "second XI" that beat us were far more expensive than our first XI that contained a lame Lucas. Yet we were the "team to fear" thus the bus parking. In other words, its not all about how the money is spent but how the players are integrated. Out of Pellegrini, Mourinho and Rodgers only one manager can truly make brilliant use of such large budgets. I know which one.

Meltdown.

Go disappear now for another 10 years.

Have I missed something? Since when is Liverpool the best team in the country?

Last time I checked United lead by two titles and 4 FA cups...
