Nothing to do with him today, game was lost as soon as Shaw got injured. That was the only thing on everyone's mind. Going to be hard to lift the dressing room now though if it was already flat.

We scored after that.

I've seen enough useless sideways and backwards passes in LVG's reign to last me a lifetime.

you never think we're getting back into it when we go a goal down.

not for a minute

So either we have assembled the most expensive squad of dross or LvG is making them look far worse than they are. I don't know which would actually be the less damning for LvG.

it's certainly the highest ever money spent for a team you can still spot major improvement needed in

I did until Fellaini came on. We had them massively pegged back. We were pretty much camped outside their box, then Van Gaal panicked.

Basti's a great player but with the immobility of Mata and Fellaini for 'help' in midfield he looked lost. Made it easier for PSV.

Had we continued to play our football we'd have won.

He has been extremely underwhelming. I have no idea what his philosophy is and what the process is, but United under Van Gaal have been unimpressive.

I'm fairly sure Ferguson and some other managers would get more out of this team.

I thought it was quite an odd move to team him up with Herrera in centre mid.

of all the game you want a cautious base for, it's a champions league away game. 2 wingers and Martial should have been enough threat.

oh well...Wolfsburg is a must win, needless to say

People said Fergie`s tactics were poor, but LVG seems to think possession is what its all about.

In Fergie`s last year we would let in 3 but go and score 5.

Its rare to see us score more than 1 these days, the weekend was a treat but tonight we got brought back down to reality.

I fear LVG isn't the man, we need someone who plays exciting fast football, we have the players we just don't have the manager.

We really seem clueless on how to score a goal, and that's most likely because the players have LVG rattling in their heads about possession.

The Fellaini sub was a poor one but almost all other critcism is agenda-driven horseshit.

He plays his boldest line up yet. We created chances. We dominated the game.

Tell me, how is Van Gaal supposed to prevent Darmian from making basic mistakes? How does he stop Mata playing like an arsehole?

Typical Louis. No doubt will spout absolute tripe in his interview and get all mardy with the reporters for questioning his pathetic methods. Hopefully we get rid at the end of the season.

Rooney is shit, Mata is shit, Memphis is shit, Marcial is shit, Young is shit, Darmian is shit etc etc etc etc. or maybe just maybe it's our managers tactics and team setup that's shit?

Thought we played quite well. The thing that i noticed was how tired we were getting.Thought LVG was meant to improve this.

They scored their second because our 'rock' RB was an idiot.
Mata missed from 2 feet, Smalling missed a one on one.

LVG set us up to win, and we really should have. Then came Fellaini and went to hell, but hey, that's what Fellaini does to football.

Can't blame LVG for this one. The team played well for of the match and created more than enough chances to win. Its just that certain players (Darmian and Mata in particular) let us down, and obviously the Shaw injury was a huge blow.

I was fine with the subs. We missed Carrick he gives us so much control.

Wins per £million spent for LVG next to Moyes?

Sure we needed a rejuvenation of the squad, and we have some quality players now, but his record is almost as shocking as our options from the bench... and we've only had 1 injury to a forward player, a player who's been our worst player on the pitch this season.

In his post season mad speech he reckoned we are very close to challenging for the title, he needs to leave the drink alone.

He has laid his expensive and different direction taking bed and now needs to deliver in terms of competing for trophies or just be sacked ruthlessly.

Sick and tired of all the excuses.

Can't blame LVG for this. Perhaps should have had Wilson or Pereira or Januzaj (oh) non the bench.

I hope todays result doesn't turn him off being a bit more ambious in attack. Better decision making and being more clinical and we could have got a 3 or so goals. In defence being a bit shaky following the Shaw injury was also a possibility. We should probably have subbed Schwein when his energy went but as we were chasing the game I understand taking the risk.

Sad to say that Van Gaal has lost it. United was a mess when he arrived, but he never needs this much time to build something decent. Right now he's building for more than a season and it's still shit. I really had high hopes for Manchester United with v.Gaal as a coach. The old Van Gaal was a brilliant coach. This Van Gaal just makes choices that even people that know his 'philosophy' can't explain. Besides that, he just doesn't seem to get Man Utd to play some decent football. Van Gaal used to be a coach that makes his team play very attractive football. Right now United are quite boring, the opposite of what you'd expect with v.Gaal as a manager. I hope he still manages to turn this around, but to be honest I doubt he will.

Thats me turned against him, not because we lost, its just that even after putting such an attacking side out, the football was dire that we couldnt createa chance for 2nd half. Players are afraid to shoot, afraid to run with the ball, Martial was asked to stay uptop and not cut in from the left, thats like asking Luis ronaldo to not use a stepover(A signature move). Herrera should not have started alongside schweinstieger should have been schniederlin (he has not played for 180 mins now) and one more player if you wanted such an attacking game. Lvg is poor tactically, he is being shown up by his own disciples, I can repeat those words 'fergie wasnt'. I understand he is not ferguson, but there has to be passion, LVG has taken away the passion from our team, we are robots assigned to do tasks, if those are done well, then its all good even if we lose.
There is no passion in our team, desire to score is the first thing to score late, we dont have that. We are shit at holding leads, happened twice in a week now. The defensive organization that neville lauded has gone. I am thinking a loss against southampton and the fans will turn against him. A victory over a poor Liverpool should not mask what is happening, I thought Lvg would be great for us, but today was the last straw.I know most will make shaw's injury an excuse but we need to handle that. After half time, it should have been okay. Its like there is no improvement at all from last season, same old bullshit, Two step forwards and two step backwards. Ancelotti is available and will the perfect solution for us. What a shit day all round.

Can't blame LVG for this. Perhaps should have had Wilson or Pereira or Januzaj (oh) non the bench.

He is supposed to have better options or make the existing players better considering what he has spent and what not.

Also, the team is definitely lacking in team chemistry and also leadership. After the equaliser there was panic and our heads went down. He needs to motivate and man manage the players. Give them leadership and build chemistry.

For some reason it seems he rather prefers robots.

I thought he put out a good attacking lineup and we played well at times. Didn't take our chances and got slapped for it.
Don't have any issue with LVG today tbh. Players should have taken their chances, and a few silly mistakes from Darmian cost us.

He just didn't have many options from the bench...and that's completely down to our transfer policy.

This was our best game attacking wise this season and we are improving in that department. We should have score at least 4 goals before they have scored the second, so I can't blame him for the tactics.

I do blame him for not including Perreira and Wilson and trying to win the game that way.

But this game wasn't to be won (Shaw injured, instead of a penalty and red card, we concede a goal from the same guy who injured him and it's actually and own goal, and that after we had 2 great chances).

At the end, this los is mostly down to players.

Not all his fault, but the lack of a back-up plan when chasing a game is shocking, almost has bad his subs, which are mostly odd. Switching to hoof ball every time is getting on my nervous and the lack of attacking options on the bench is his fault.

Subs were crap.

PSV were only catching us on the counter and with pace. Mata isn't having the best game of his life, get an athletic pacy defensive minded midfielder on in Schneiderlein and push Herrera forward.

Rojo should of came on at left back, you don't break up a CB partnership that's playing great together if you don't need too.

Young was absolute dross, and struggled today. Wilson should of been on the bench to give us another option, why we had both McNair and Valencia on the bench is beyond me. Only need one of them and give Wilson the other spot.

The weak bench is LvG fault for gutting the squad this summer. He gets far too easy a ride on here.
