He has his issues but the idiotic individual performances cannot be blamed on him.
Then good performances can't be attributed to him. In that case he's basically paid a fortune for picking 11 players.

Yep, I'd go along with a lot of what you said. I do feel a bit sorry for the paying matchday fans however seeing such tumescent uninspiring football. I mean it ain't cheap...especially if you take the family. At the end of the day big business has spoilt a lot of the entertainment value of football. Due to the vast sums of dosh on offer in the PL, teams are certainly very afraid to lose these days and there is no doubt this has had a unfortunate negative effect on the game as a whole.
Yeah you raise a fair point. If I was heading over to England now (which I plan to do next year) I wouldn't be too thrilled about having to pay to watch this stuff. I'd feel privileged to watch the team of course, but it's not top draw entertainment. But we'll get there. The work Van Gaal is doing right now with our defence and structure is going to be enormously beneficial in the long run, and to see this team grow and develop is a privilege in itself in my opinion. In the meantime, be thankful we're not Arsenal; paying the most amount of money in the country and seeing us get battered by rivals (that was one of the reason's by the way I was really pleased with last weekend's derby performance; I was sick of getting torn apart by those guys).

He trimmed the squad down to this extent. He decided not to keep any strikers. He made Rooney his captain.

The team plays well once every 5 games. He has to take the blame.

Moyes never had a chance. LVG has had plenty..

The results are not much better.... oh but we keep the ball.. Any team can do that if they want to play the way we are. Swansea were great at doing it. Didn't make them a great side.

The Dutch Rodgers.. without the desire to play fast counterattacking football.

He needs to find a solution to our lack of goalscoring soon. The football we play starts to piss me off.

Since the Everton game, we've taken three steps back again under LVG. False dawn after false dawn.

If he hasn't got the balls to drop Rooney after awful performance after awful performance sack him now!

Sick of it, inept management.

If he leaves tomorrow, I wouldn't care less. He has had three windows and infinite budget to fix the mess, but I just see a very mild difference but nothing else. Walking on thin ice.

The best thing he has done so far is bring Martial to the club and beat the scousers and the bitters a couple of times. The football needs to improve and he needs to drop Rooney, quickly.

What looked like a genius move before the start of OT in his head - Rooney moving to midfield turn out to be match losing mistake, he was totally lost there again, actually it was the previous mistake which cost us game Rooney coming on the pitch and funny thing is that we looked better in the second half but it was not because he came on the pitch, every team would kick on in the second half

He shall go back to Holland....

His football is painful to watch, passing the ball sideways in midfield and then lumping the ball to Fellaini is not the United way and for me he needs to go!!!

The team that started is good enough to beat Boro, it's not LVG's fault the players didn't perform.

To select Carrick as a penalty taker though is truly unforgivable, he's probably the biggest bottler in the Premier League. The minute I heard his name I knew he'd miss.

His failure to drop Rooney in recent weeks is also pathetic.

He was an idiot getting rid of three strikers in the summer, refusing to play one of the three he kept, playing the only effective one out wide, and playing the worst of the bunch up top religiously. He's also an idiot for not rotating the squad sufficiently to allow players some sharpness and expects players who haven't played in weeks to perform. His small squad and "proshesh" will ensure we win nothing this season.

 What is this? He's a good penalty taker, even scored one in Moscow you know...

He's a very bizarre man.

Whinges about his team being tired and running on empty due to fixtures but, binned half a squad that could have helped him out in such a situation.

Playing Fellaini and Rooney in the striker's position, as Martial is left to waste out on the wing is even more bizarre.....

Maybe we'll score against Palace this weekend

Also, Ashley Young has missed practically every penalty he's taken....Why was he selected?

I still dont get how he takes fecking notes for 120 mins. I mean I go to Uni and dont take as much as him the whole semester. fecking hell get down to the touch line and yell instructions to players.

fed up of this philosophy nonsense. hopefully he'll retire early in the summer and well get a progressive attacking coach in.

Yep, And Januzaj was sitting on the fecking bench for Dortmund today like usual.

Yeah...I'm fed up with him and fed up with this shit that he calls his philosophy. I wouldn't bat an eye if he was let go tomorrow!

Still 50/50 on him, I see the positives he's brought but yes after 1.5 years we should be playing better really.

Anyway, you can blame the players for playing poorly individually but fact is we just don't seem to have enough positive intention from the manager only.

Today for 65 minutes or so vs a championship club at home we were passing it sideways in front without any intensity and without creating much if anything at all.

Like even if we have to lose, lose having a real go in this type of game.

Done nothing thus far this season to dissuade me of the notion that he's kind of just muddling through.
