  • 3) Let him see out his contract and part ways after that.

  • 4) Extend his contract.

  • Undecided (between 1 and 2).

  • Undecided (between 2 and 3).

  • Undecided (between 3 and 4, if things improve before his contract expires, extend).

Results are only viewable after voting.
Zero chances created from open play against one of the worst defenses in the league. Result was fine but it's soul destroying to watch this crap every week

God, Moyes had less hate than this and we were stuck in mid table for most of that season.

Can't think of any really guilt edge chance created. We were lucky to level it and even luckier not to concede.

Has to go. We could have won and gone to the top of the league today, yet my sentiments will remain the same. He is sucking the soul out of this club and the players. The sooner he leaves the better.

I want him gone now, not based on this result, but all the shit he has given us after spending all the money.

Its a results based business, no amount of hyperbole from the fans is going to change the fact we are still in the top four and have a chance of going top next week.

Moyes is one of the worst managers in our history....i dont get this constant comparisons...not much of a defense at all when you think of tht.
People want him sacked for aesthetic reasons ONLY. Never the results ever, I don't think I've seen the caf this entitled.

He appears to be living on his reputation from Ajax all those many years ago. The game has moved on and we hired a dinosaur who has leeched the passion and belief out of our club. Gonna be a struggle to get top 4.

The notepad routine is doing my head. Your not a fecking school teacher.

He's slowly castrating all the finer qualities from each of our players in order to bore us into submission.

No, Moyes is a capable manager. Maybe 7th was a fair representation of the strength of the squad.

Neville made the point that Martial shows attacking intent when he has the ball so it doesn't really make sense to suggest that LVG asks them not to. The rest of our attacking players are just terrible - Rooney, Mata and our full backs were absolutely woeful.

Woodward should be on the blower to Guardiola. Take over next summer.

No it's not. It's a fan made business and if the fans are unhappy then his job is under threat.

Undecided between 2 and 3.

He's not doing a poor job as you're still in the CL and only a point behind City but he isn't doing a great job either. Lacklustre after lacklustre performance and there is no intensity to win from the players. He's settled the defense and the possession game well but a change is going to have to be made so you can capitalise on that work and get the balance between possession and free flowing football.

Yet we could be fourth tomorrow with just a point above spurs.

I wouldn't still read too much into the table. The top 4 are really separated only by a few points. Teams just keeps fluctuating for now and the table hasn't really settled yet.

For the time he has been here, the results are not forthcoming, the performances are dire and we see no sign of improvement.

I'm not saying that we should sack him - because it is simply idiotic to do so in the middle of the season - but I can say that I will certainly be happy when LVG is finally gone.

He just doesn't suit our club.

I want to know what he keeps on writing in that massive notepad of his
Dear Diary,

Why is the philosophy not working in England?

It is because I am still missing that special player at the front which would then make the philosophy work.

We need to buy Messi to compete with Leicester......................

..............................................................................

wtf. was that??????????????????????????

Our results are ok but to be honest I'm just counting the days until he fecks off. It's just so fecking joyless

You're naive if you think it isn't. Hardly fan made at this point in football's history. The caf is not the basis of the "fans are unhappy" either.

I am not sure about that. One injury to smalling and we could be fecked. De Gea saved our arse again with a few saves.

As for the possesion game, teams invitingly allow us to play the game because they are really comfortable with it and they know we are toothless in attack.

He's slowly castrating all the finer qualities from each of our players in order to bore us into submission.

Slowly? The decline of Darmian has been pretty rapid, as it has been for Depay and Martial. The sooner LVG is gone the better. He is doing serious damage to the careers of some very good players.

2. Definately 2.
Grow some balls LVG or have off pubic to see if its still there.

If any top manager is available at the end of the season, we should be after him. I think we will finish 3/4th this season, and I am afraid that we will not beat Wolfsburg. Do not want a Wenger-esque manager, we deserve the best manager in the world. Throw money at Pep/Carlo, still cheaper than throwing money at players and settling for the top 4 spot.

I keep sticking up for him and saying to people that I think he's improving the players technically and instilling football intelligence.

But then I watch Darmian today and add him to the list of players who looked good at the beginning, but have steadily declined under Van Gaal and it's getting harder and harder to justify.

Darmian
Memphis
Martial
Rooney
Carrick
Van Persie
Di Maria
Mata
Schneiderlin
Schweinsteiger
Januzaj
Wilson
Pereira
Hernandez

... were all better players before they got here or when they first began playing under him. His record is excellent and I still want to believe it will click, but how long does he get before we need to start seeing some signs of consistent progress? How many players do we write off as shite and see them move on before we start asking if they really can all be the problem?

Bear in mind that the standard of the league is miles beneath what it was here 5-10 years ago and the standards being set elsewhere in Europe now, and that every time our backs are against the wall, we have to revert to that awful, negative formation.

That is the biggest myth spouted around here.

Its far more than just the football we play. They are many questions being asked including the following:

- poor substitutions
- inability to come up with a plan b when we are struggling.
- poor squad cover, leading to a 'tired' team in October (his own words)
- very poor perfomances in cup competitions, especially against lower league teams.

I'm not saying he hasnt done anything right ( before i'm misinterpretated in a straw man argument), im saying they are more than just one question.

The unfortunate thing is that the league is there for the taking this year but Utd can't win it with this coach and style of football. Regrettably it doesn't look like anyone is in charge at Utd so what will happen is that the fans will make the decision should they become tired of this anti-football that LVG is playing.

He's a stop gap manager and a very good one at that as he's left every club he has been at in a better state than when he arrived. However we won't win trophies under him IMO.

Too system orientated and risk adverse, however the technical focus he brings to each club helps immensely in the long run. Happy to have one more season of him before his contract runs out and we look toward fresh blood to benefit from his ground work.

Pass sideways, pass back, pass sideways. Hold possession, pass sideways.

The aim is to bore the opposition till they fall asleep, while at the same time hoping our strikers have themselves not fallen asleep.

We can't win the league this season with this squad of players while playing these tactics. Simple as that.

It remains to be seen though whether we can win the league next year with a Rooney replacement plus a winger and another top striker. My opinion is that we could. If Rooney was 4 years younger and we had another world class winger I believe we would win the league this season irrespective of LVGs boring, risk averse tactics.

My only worry is that we won't get the winger and striker that we need in January to mount a challenge for the title.
