I dont dislike van gaal but I believe its time for him to go. We need to be in for pep in the summer.

I'm not saying that we should sack him - because it is simply idiotic to do so in the middle of the season - but I can say that I will certainly be happy when LVG is finally gone.

He just doesn't suit our club.

He doesn't suit any club with ambition, unlike some says the business of football is an entertainment business based on the romantic attachment between the fans and the team, the games have to be good moments for the fans. Obviously good results are a requirement but entertaining games are also a requirement, you can't purposely trade one for the other, you have to aim for both.

I am not sure about that. One injury to smalling and we could be fecked. De Gea saved our arse again with a few saves.

As for the possesion game, teams invitingly allow us to play the game because they are really comfortable with it and they know we are toothless in attack.

Well, last season you conceded the 3rd least amount of goals in the league, only 5 more than Chelsea who were receiving a huge amount of plaudits for their defenders without any of yours being really good. This season you've conceded the least amount so far with Smalling obviously being the standout player. Aye, it's helped having a world class keeper but i think that defensively he's tightened it up a bit and made you harder to beat. You're just easier to draw against as your attack is fairly fruitless.

He's a stop gap manager and a very good one at that as he's left every club he has been at in a better state than when he arrived. However we won't win trophies under him IMO.

Too system orientated and risk adverse, however the technical focus he brings to each club helps immensely in the long run. Happy to have one more season of him before his contract runs out and we look toward fresh blood to benefit from his ground work.

Technical focus? Really? I have witnessed an almost complete lack of technical ability in most of our players since LVG arrived.

Neville made the point that Martial shows attacking intent when he has the ball so it doesn't really make sense to suggest that LVG asks them not to. The rest of our attacking players are just terrible - Rooney, Mata and our full backs were absolutely woeful.

Which is something I have been saying and keep saying.

If LVG really is stifling the players, Martial and even Lingered are clearly not listening to him. In fact even Memphis loses a lot of balls cos he tries silly things.

Woodward should be on the blower to Guardiola. Take over next summer.
Laughable. Guardiola would take Martial off for taking to much risks and losing possession. You've seen his players at Barca and Bayern, what could he do with players like Rooney, Mata, Carrick and Young who need 3 touches and a minute to think before they can play a slow pass over 10 yards which is 2 yards off?

The way forward might be to park the bus with some tough defenders, and then hoof it up front and hope to get lucky with the counter. At least the fans enjoy that kind of football.

Which is something I have been saying and keep saying.

He does a lot of silly things, but he also had a nice touch that took it to Young and surprised the defence and speeded up the attack. It just needed a decent cross from Young and it would have been a major chance.

Things like that are too few, and when they are there they're generally not well anticipated on.

It's sad mate, there is no good debate or analysis anymore but just same old cliches being thrown around. I saw a game in which Martial and Young spent the whole game trying to dribble away and create something. I am not sure how much is it the manager's fault when Young can produce anything decent or when Darmian hits the ball miles over everyone even though he is in acres of space

No, Moyes is a capable manager. Maybe 7th was a fair representation of the strength of the squad.
Most likely not. Seeing as how Moyes has gone on since he left us , that's a very futile argument. Now back to the point at hand. He had one of the most disastrous reigns here, Van Gaal is a better manager , and has done better. That doesn't necessarily equate to that being satisfactory.

People want him sacked for aesthetic reasons ONLY. Never the results ever, I don't think I've seen the caf this entitled.
You enjoy not being entertained by a entertainment industry that you pay tons of money to follow?
No? Ok then.

Really needs an Eric Cantona like signing. We couldn't buy a goal before he was signed in the 92/93 season. Don't know who he can get in January though.

We signed him at around this time in the season too.

He's made around 10 signings in two seasons, spending a hell of a lot of money. If the players still aren't good enough to do what he wants after all that, surely he takes some of the blame? It's going to be a long season if he expects Young to start dribbling past players consistently or Darmian to start crossing the ball like Beckham.

Well i see some starting to come out openly and asking for him to be sacked on the spot, maybe its time for sack thread.

Poor form from Van Gaal having a cut off McNair in his interview there.

Paddy was far from the the first player deserving of a public bollocking there.

Just threw McNair under the bus in his post match presser.
What did he do?

Tha'ts unreal if it's the likes of McNair getting the brunt of it over far more deserving people. Makes my blood boil quite frankly. That's just horrific man management.

If we can sack him right now and get ancelotti in, i would do it in a heartbeat.

He's fecking unreal. Constantly uses the excuse of teams playing deep against us but you'd think after every fecking game we'd learn

He is not United quality tbf

He's a 20 year old centre back who has been played all over the place ffs. I'm not sure what more people expect from such young players in the most difficult and disciplined position on the field. Do they think Vidic, Bruce and Maldini were faultless 20 year olds?

Regardless, there were plenty of players more deserving of a public put down.

Said we conceded because McNair was playing as a striker.

Yep, must have done wonders for the lad's confidence.

Since we are useless creating through the middle I understand why we prefer the wings. But we also lack any decent crosser or a header. So why do the players always go for high crosses and never a low first time cross when we possibly could catch the defenders off guard?
Maybe if its not much of a trouble at least try something new you geriatric fecker.

I have no desperate urge to see LVG sacked now but we have to be thinking about where we go next as a club and be ready to move if the right man for the next few years becomes available.

Where are we in the table again? It never lies mate.

Have a look at what the produce of that league is achieving in Europe. Last years champions are 4 points above the relegation zone.

The premiership is a cripple fight this year and in fairness, a club like ours shouldn't be so easily satisfied by being the 3rd least shite side on the table.
