Welbeck is more to do with rotation than anything else, I don't think he's not continuously playing because of not playing well but just the fact that there's better players and a better system without him in the team.

Well, I said this couple of times, he could do nothing worse then Valencia. Last year he played one or two games on right wing, and I remember he got a lot of praise after one game(feck it, can't remember against who). This season he played couple of good games on left wing too, games against stoke and qpr comes in mind, and chelsea in first half in capital cup. It's not his best position, but he definitely can play there.

Some in this thread gave me massive stick for saying Bale was a better than Nani...spastic twats the lot of them.

Is Christian Bale better than Nani though? That's what all of us want you to tell us.

Or...you were and still are wrong? You can still be a spastic twat if you like.

January 1st, hopefully back for Wigan.

Would be good to see him in a United shirt again to be honest, hopefully put to bed a lot of the rubbish circulating and see him build some form at the right time would be nice

Bale and Valencia would make us more 1 dimensional than we already are, if nani goes we need a similar type of player. If we decide to boot Valencia than bale would be great.

Am I right in assuming he is expected to be fit at the start of the new year?

He sure will be fit as a fiddle come jan 1st.

Will be running up and down the Bernabeu like a spring lamb.

Nani. Will be a sad day when he leaves. Frustrating?...hell yes! But what a tricky entertaining player. Up there with the best ever United wingers of all time for me.

It'll probably be one of the most frustrating transfers out of the club in recent times, he has the ability to be really good.

I think Nani is as good as gone. Flashes of brilliance, but unlike cristiano, he never developed into the player he can be. I say take whatever we can get for him, and use that money and more to get Bale, who in my opinion, is one of the few players who can take our team to a higher level.

All this shit about Nani being infuriating and frustrating, does he really frustrate more than many of our other players?

Valencia with his one dimension and one foot?
Rooney with his occasionally shocking runs of form?
Welbecks lack of goals or Hernandez's poor all round play?
Berbatov and his refusal to raise his heart rate?
Rafael's rashness and Evra's "attempt" to block crosses?

I don't really find Nani that frustrating at all to be honest. Far worse culprits in this squad.

Last season, Valencia was our best player. His one dimensional play was at times a hindrance, but he made up for it with his sheer directness.
Rooney does go through horrible runs of form, and yes, he is a frustrating player, but he's still far more consistent than Nani, and a much superior player.
Welbeck's lack of goals are made up by his link up play, terrific work rate, and overall contribution to the team. Not frustrating at all. Hernandez, you know what you're getting. He's not a particularly great footballer, but he's an exceptional goalscorer. There are times when you're watching him, praying he'll make a successful 25 yard pass, yet failing, but then he pops up with a proper poacher's goal i.e. Newcastle, Chelsea etc.
Rafael isn't as rash as he once was, and some fans may even mistake that for desire, he's also been one of our best players this season. His positioning annoyed me more. In Evra's case you've just picked out a flaw of his. Yes, it's often annoying, but on the whole he's still a very good fullback.

Nani is one of the most frustrating players I've ever watched, and I cannot imagine what happened to his 2009-10 form. I think he'll be sold within eight months, and be the same player he is now - capable of brilliance, but equally frustrating.

Putting aside his potential and focusing only on his actual, I'd rate Nani highly but not as high as Kanchelskis.

If Nani does go, it will be a story of potential never realized. Why, no one has any idea.

The link to Arsenal is coming from John Cross in the Mirror, he also says in the same article that Arsenal want to sign the following players (as well as Nani) in Jauary. Pepe Reina, Luke Shaw and Wilfried Zaha, the only one of those players with a chance of ending up at Arsenal at the end of January is Shaw.

Absolute bollocks from Cross as usual.

Getting Bale in the summer would more than make up for Nani going. Let us hope Spurs miss out on CL.

That would be useless if we still have a shit midfield.

I believe that if we give Nani a run of 3 games, he will be back to his best.

Sir Alex Ferguson: "Nani should be back within a week or so."

That's either brilliant news or just in time for the transfer window.

Strange timing indeed ^^ Nevertheless I'll see the positives of it. A fit Nani available again

Fixed.
The underlined bit is crucial.
Hopefully the time off did him some good to find his "mojo" and his confidence.
I'm strangely optimistic that things are on the up for him.

I think I might wet my pants at some of the passing moves we might pull off if cleverley, nani, kagawa, rvp, Rooney and welbeck all play together. Today was a real teaser of what could be.

How many weeks has it been since his injury against Braga?
