@antihenry - Where did I say your about to go under? Not once. I also never said you are incapable of managing it either. I asked why a £1bn loan in your eyes is safe for a club than £1bn put in and no threat of it ever being demanded back.
So angry.. that your making up my points for me.
@duffer - Exactly, people who use City as a yardstick to beat FFP obviously don't understand what it is and use it as an I'm jealous issue. Like I'm sure you guys had to go through before FFP with the "ruining football" shite you had to put up with. Its why I'm surprised at antihenry, of all people he should understand the circumstances at City.
@MrMarcello - I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one on this site who refers to their favored club as we.
@Paz - Spurs are building organically but so far they've won nothing (albeit are getting closer), they also started from a much higher point than we did at City. Lets be honest we started from being a Yo-yo club, one year up, one year down, Spurs kind of Euro League top half. Also its much harder to build you way to the top in England, we had to not just chase down United, but Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal.
Atletico have had a great period but in the end they've went from 4th or 5th best club in Spain to 3rd best. And there they will remain without City like money.
Dortmund will never sustain the success they had over Bayern under Klopp. Those clubs have had short term success and than kind of returned to being best of the rest Juve aside who were always Italy's biggest club.
City aren't in it to try and grab a couple of titles and fall back to Europa League or not challenging (which is ironically what we have done) but are spending to be constantly there with United and Chelsea.
The Dortmunds, Atletico's will have their phases here and there but will they ever be able to consistently match the Bayerns, Reals and Barca who can just come along and cherry big their best talent.
Sure you can win a title but can you maintain challenging the already established top dogs? which has to be the end goal for City given the crazy investment.
There was a time when I felt a little uncomfortable with what we are becoming, the tapping up of players, bullying teams who we once were like for players. It took me awhile to adjust to the new Man City if I'm honest. It's certainly not the same. Not worse just different.
