Manchester City v Manchester United

What a brilliant performance from Mike Deane. Why was nothing made of Teve$' tackle on Brown, I've seen players sent off for less. Imagine if those decisions were made in favour of us, the press would go into moral outrage. We played them off the pitch for the most part, apart from a 20 minute spell at the start of the second half, if we had an impartial ref tonight that would have been a draw. If that's the only way they can beat us then there's not much to worry about in terms of a shift in balance of power. Tevez proved that Fergie was right to get rid of him tonight, someone with that complete lack of class doesn't deserve to wear the red shirt.

Sad but totally correct. "bBuTT itz oK" He`s burnt his bridges tonight.

That match has made me wanna go to the 2nd leg. My dad is being a bender about it with work in the morning, even though he'll make an exception for Milan. Shit going alone too.

I never thought I'd say it but Tevez has gone right into the 'Can't stand the f****r' category for me...all that post goal celebration got under my skin. I thought he had more class than that.

My sentiments exactly, feel quite let down by him but I suppose that's what happens when you mix with the inbreeding blue shite!!

Did Carrick even play tonight? thought he was average yet again.

Same here.started the first 15 minutes well, then just became another person on the pitch, didn't even notice him there until he didn't play Owen, when Owen had left the whole of the city defence behind and was stood for 5 minutes with his arms in the air, with so much space he may as well have been in Antartica.

Surprise, surprise the Anderson fanboys have selective vision.

Just to let you guys know, the overwhelming majority have said that Anderson was dreadful - worst player on the pitch, and that Carrick was one of our better performers. :boring:

It's half time mate, now tell me, in which half do we score the goals? Turn that frown upside down me lad.

Yeah, Atleast we wont be favourites now because whenever we were expected to walk all over a side, we lost a la pool, leeds, burnley, etc. and obviously the media will thrash us all week now which hopefully will spur on the lads. Not that they didnt today, but I hope dean and that cnut clattenburg dont officiate in 2nd leg.
Just hurt to see that twat celebrate a brace and the win, especially his second celebration.

 What, Rooney was our best player in the second half. Considering every ball was pretty much aimed at him, instead of our other forwards it doesn't suprise me. As stated, Carrick decided to watch Owen run into space, write him a letter, decide against that, scratch his head, draw a life like picture of Owen, work out his accounts, all whilst staring at Owen, running into space, then play the pass to Rooney, who had 2 defenders on him. In Games like these we need earlier balls to either of our forwards, with the intent on getting them to run into space and score. Not figure out the safest route where we keep possession, and can interlink until Rooney does something or Valencia finds space on the right side.

You also want to read the Guardians take on the game, makes the Beebs commentary look pro us.

Im in a bad mood.....:(

What are your takes on player ratings then? Should they be in comparison to their team mates or their contribution in regards to their time on the pitch.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Save that one for a cracker mate...i would.

He was though... Not that I'd expect an Anderson fanboy such as yourself to acknowledge that. He can do no wrong in your eyes.

No he wasn't, Anderson wasn't that great, nor was Fletcher. All we are saying is give Anderson a chance to feed stikers who run off the ball, in some unimportant games so we can have a real plan-B.

:lol: Sorry, just cant get over someone like YOU calling someone else a fanboy, the phrase "oh how ironic" just springs to mind when you literally wack a sack off over Carrick every sodding week no matter how badly he plays he can do no wrong in your mind....hes gods answer to ending world hunger!! All hail!!

Im actually wondering if your his Dad or something....because honestly its painfull listening to you praise him to the heavens week after week when his actuall performances are consistently very average....i do genuinly wonder at times what matches you watch.

I agree with what you said in that thread it should be judged on the impact they make on the match during the relative time theyve been on the field...that would be the logical way to assess the performances.

Some of the ratings in there were laughable to be honest though, i couldnt be bothered with it....
