Manchester City vs. Manchester United

----------------VDS------------------

Rafael------Rio---------Vida-------Evra

-------Fletch------Carrick--------------

Ronaldo-------Giggs-------------Tevez
--------------Rooney-------------------

I wasn't being sarcastic at all you clueless shit

John O'Shea's best ever season for us was the 02/03 season

Unless you meant Addict was being sarcastic so in that case I apologise :smirk:

Apology accepted.

:D

--OShea-----Rio----Vidic-----Evra--
--Ronaldo--Fletcher--Carrick--Park--
----------Rooney---Tevez----------

I'd then rest O'Shea and play Rafa against Sunderland.

1-0 City I'm afraid. Can't see us getting a result the form we're in.

not feeling too confident...i think it will be a third straight no score bore.

feck that, we'll smash the cnuts 4-0...feck city.

my mates a steward at this match and couldn't get me a ticket, sold out fast he said.

Will be going to this one so I am looking forward to it. We owe them and the team will be eager to put on a good showing after last season.

Hopefully Berbatov is an option for this game as well, I would want him and Rooney up front.

City are playing well going forward at the moment, should make for an exciting derby.

Home end?

Will be a tough game theres no doubt about that and our midfield is going to need to be spot on if we're to get a result there.

Would you employ a player to just man mark Robinho therefore negating to an extent their primary source of attack, or does concentrating soley on him leave us open to SWP and Stephen Ireland to take advantage?

Fletcher has got to play imo as his energy in midfield will be vital, I'd actually be happy to go into it with the same 3 in the middle as last night.

There is of course the danger in putting too much emphasis on them as an attacking force, we may be best suited in going to attack from the off as they've shown so far this season that they are far from solid at the back.

Its a very tough game to judge but I have every confidence in SAF to go with the right plan and hopefully come away with the 3 points!

did you notice that break from City the other day when SWP played Robinho in to score their 2nd goal? Ireland broke on the right side and Robinho on the left. the defenders didn't know what to do.

hopefully they'll both have a shitty game this weekend.

I didn't see that one but the 3 of them are very effective and its got to be said Ireland is a bit of a dark horse, in that he probably doesn't get the plaudits bothe Robinho and SWP get but he does just as well and has scored some important goals for them this season.

Yeah. One of the rare occasions when having City fans and season tickets in your family is an advantage.

Aye, same with mine.

But i know i can't keep quite.

So gave it a miss, and am just hoping to get sorted in ours.

how long is gary neville out for?

that said, would probably start anyone but o'shea, but thats because i hate him. I'd rather lose than play him, i know rafael is nowhere near defensively good enough to handle binho.

I think Robinho is injured

He's injured for tomorrow's match but back for ours.

:wenger:

Not my choice, but i think Fergie will go with:

VDS
O'No Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Ronaldo Fletcher Carrick Giggs Park
Rooney

This game makes me nervous.

1-1

vds

rafael rio vida evra

fletcher carrick park

ronaldo rooney anderson

Thats just one team. if we dont squander our chances like we seem to be doing constantly at the moment, we will win.

I think we'll go 4-4-2.

VDS
O'Shea Rio Vida Evra
Ron Fletch Carrick Park
Rooney Tevez/Berbatov if he's fit

GK: Van Der Sar

RB: O'Shea. Rafael's too precocious as a talent for a match of this magnitude.
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Ronaldo
CM: Fletcher
CM: Carrick
LM: Park

CF: Rooney
CF: Tevez

A 2-1 win, not easy. Ronaldo and Rooney, with Robinho giving us a late scare. Nani to come on for Fletcher at some point.

Any news on Berbatov or we not likely to find out until tomorrow?

Also, if O'Shea does indeed play, I'd be worried for him. I don't think he'll be able to handle Robinho if I'm honest. Not sure Rafael would either, but least he's got some pace.

I think Robinho on a good day would run circles around O'Shea, and I actually think that a player with Rafael's speed is more equipped to deal with him. Fergie shoud give him the right orders though.

I'd take that as the team...

--------VDS--------
O'Shea-Rio-Vida-Evra
Ron-Carrick-Fletch-Anderson
--Rooney---Tevez--

Anderson with a bit of an advanced role who can also help out in the middle if needed (similar to Hargreaves at RW)

In The Times today:

Rooney: It will be nice to show them who are the kings of Manchester. It doesn’t irritate us that City are getting all this publicity. If they were winning trophies, it would irritate me, but while they are still lingering in mid-table, I am not really too bothered about it.

Ouch. Nice one Rooney.

It is fans like you that makes me feel proud about United and its supporters.

You're usually a voice of reason, but the above is an embarrassing load of shit. Sorry.

Quality words! He's right, too.

I think we'll win this one. But it's more hope than anything else. :nervous:

City to be taught a lesson on how to be title contendors.

5-0 win

Ronaldox2 Tevez, Rooney, Vida

I've managed to get my hands on a pair of tickets for Sunday. My first time visiting Eastlands, I just hope we smash them to bits, a 3rd consecutive defeat would be horrible to live with.
