Manchester City vs. Manchester United

Jones doesn't have the composure he shown that against Everton when he came on and delivered a cross that wemt out for a throwin

Jesus, some of you need to wise the feck up and have a little faith in a manager who's selected more big-match winning teams than you've had hot dinners. Some ridiculous comments in here.

Bit edgy about Jones at RB myself but hopefully he's been turning it on in training. Strange not playing Tony V but meh, in Fergie we trust.

Pogue you are right but I am fecking dreading this.

If that neckless wonder does something I am going to erupt!

300-1 6-1 to us.

Haven't seen the lineup yet. Anyone got it?

In the barrages of OMG PARK FFS cries and moans, has no one else noticed that City went with an all-out attacking lineup? They already HAVE the kitchen sink on the pitch. De Jong their best anchorman and Richards and Milner on the bench. Even in the worst case scenario in which they score a goal or two, Mancini WILL sit back and then we will hit them with everythig we've got. Tactically this is a solid lineup from Fergie. Park is a runner and will drain their energy.

Oh gosh. Why is Evans not playing? That out of all of them is the biggest shock for me (unless he picked up a knock). Disappointed no Valencia but to have the chance to bring him, Young and Welbeck/Hernandez on is excellent.

Though lets not kid ourselves. Fergie wasn't going to make everyone happy with whatever team he put out

Keep at 0-0 for as long as possible, City will eventually have to get desperate, nick a goal on the break. Simples.

City play through the middle. He wants to prevent that. Giggs on the left is not just he is a better crosser but should he get into the area and there is illegal contact, will not have the 'penalty claim' waived away.

Park will be fresh and will frustrate them.

I hope park is out wide our counter will be stuffed if he's in the middle as, as we've seen before when he plays that advance central role out moves tend to breakdown as he can't make the difficult passes often enough or take it past people. Plus at least we can get one positive out of him if he's wide in that he'll protect evra. I don't want to sound like a park hater but I just don't think he's done anything this season to justify getting a place in a title decider.

Like you then :)

Giggs and Park getting in the team ahead of Valencia is a joke. If Giggs is playing shit, Ferguson better have the bollocks to drag him off, not looking forward to this now.

We are playing our tried and tested away CL formation/team. Trouble is Park has not played for what 8 games and when he has this season he has been shit.

Giggs and Scholes in the same starting 11 hasn't worked for about 2 seasons or more??

But in SAF we trust.

I don't like the team, but meh- I pick the team in my head for the performance not the result. Fergie, on the other hand, knows how to win however we do it.

I just texted a mate that Gibson is starting. He's none the fecking wiser that he doesn't even play for United anymore. Absolute tool.

Exactly, blunt their offensive capabilities early on to drain the energy from their attacking players and when it opens up introduce your own attacking players against their midfield and defence fresh.

De Gea
Jones Smalling Rio Evra
Carrick
Scholes Giggs
Nani Rooney Park

With Valencia and Young on around the 68 minute to burn the tired fullbacks.

45 premier league medals in our starting XI.

I actually can't function right now.

Giggs and Scholes starting together is worrying.
