Manchester United v Arsenal

And i would cry if Anderson and Scholes played together in a 2, that's been a shocking combination in the past.

Yes sometimes in the past when we've played them together Anderson's naiveness in defense plus Scholesy's inability to run around covering for anderson would mean this would a disastrous pairing in the middle.

However, as part of a midfield three along with carrick i feel they represent our best formation in the big away games and those tricky games like Arsenal

I'm not one for getting into formation debate, but I'd be amazed if we played anything other than 4-3-3 come 4-5-1.

Sorry to be pedantic but thats cum not come!. Plus i agree

I'm sorry but there is no chance in hell Scholes and Anderson would form a central partnership, have that ever happened in a 4-4-2?

Yes they did actually. The first time Anderson played in a Man Utd shirt, he replaced Carrick against Wigan and we played quite well actually. This i believe was in the middle of our run of 4-0's back in the day.

Yeah, you used to be gay man.....

His first competitive game was home to Sunderland as part of a central midfield trio with Hargreaves and Scholes, when he came off at HT for Saha (who scored the winner).

That Wigan game, I think Anderson came on for (of all people) Nemanja Vidic who came off injured, of course, what we saw was John O'Shea who started in midfield going back into the back four, before he himself had to be replaced by Danny Simpson nine minutes later. Carrick, Fletcher, Hargreaves were all injured before the game began.

Anderson's second Premier League game.

I would fall off my seat in shock if we play 4-4-2.
Arsenals´s weakest point is no doubt the defence + Park and Rooney would help our CM`s.

1) If Scholes is fit then he should be in the team.
2) I´m happy with Anderson´s form........Carrick´s and Fletcher´s isn´t good enough in the last weeks.

Oh I see, because YOU thought you should have had a pen beforehand (no one else did as far as I can recall) it justifies Rooney cheating.

Where did i say that it justifies cheating? When a referee clearly makes a hash of the first penalty decision he'll nearly always try to make up for it with the 2nd. If he hadnt given us either he wouldnt have got out of OT alive.

There was an absolute stonewaller a couple of minutes after Rooney's, don't remember one before it though.

Plus, we won the game 2-0, so just keep barking on how injustice that is the penalty stopped the unbeaten run.

They've more than made up for it with hundreds of soft penalty's since then, Chamakh alone has cheated his way to half a dozen already this season, what about Eduardo against Celtic?

Its just Arsenal hypocrisy whenever this argument arises, they are the kings of the cheated penalty, but cry foul whenever it goes against them.

Rooney's dive. What a proud moment to be a United fan.

Good job your lads have never resorted to cheating then, isn't it? I don't know how you'd be able to live with yourself.

Webb's doing the game on Monday. He's notorious for bizarre decisions against us - Adebayor's red v Liverpool just one example. Not as bad as Riley though. This isn't paranoia, it's just fact.

We're not taking any lectures from you who fielded King (Muff) Diver himself.

He ran at such a high speed that any slight touch would, er....knock him off balance....oh, feck it, he doesn't play for us anymore. I can't be arsed.

Its exactly what it is. Your paranoia stems from only remembering the decisions that go against you. You cant be serious that Howard Webb has only ever made dubious decisions that have gone against your team, and never made any that have benefitted you's.

I thought Webb had got over it the last game (he's hated us since the League cup final v Chelsea, since he thought it's the kind of feck up that could ruin a career). He is a poor judge of the game though and relies on his crowd control to impress, which is always dangerous.

I never said that. I was merely referring to this game. I'm not proud if we win a game through cheating. That was the point.

But at the same time, you're proud of the unbeaten run, even though one of those games were based on a dubious penalty that helped you avoid defeat. Let's not get dragged into the which-penalty-is-right-or-wrong debate here, it's for another thread. But I just want to point out how hypocritical it is of you to sit on high horse all those times.

Am I totally tripping balls or is there Arsenal fans in here trying to take some kind of moral high ground about diving?
