Manchester United v Aston Villa

It pleases a million times more than it scares me.We're lucky to have him play.Unique player

I like how his awareness is on a different level to everyone else. The little body adjustments he makes when receiving a ball after taking into account the opponent's pressure is what gives him this fraction of advance. He literally sees things before they happen

it scares me that we depend on him so much. If he had played Wednesday, we would have won.

Who is good enough to replace him? Cleverley?

I'd love for him to play a big part in our youth level coaching.

No one is in this current team and there wouldn't be many in the entire world.I understand you mate, I often feel the same as you but at the same time we're privileged to witness a true artist

It's crazy to think that with less dwelling on the ball and more focus on the finishing the team can trash this Villa team.

Yup, and I hope we do so. Man City wouldn't spare them and we shouldn't either. We need more of that relentess winning attitude in our play.

Great football so far. When we're in the mood we're some team. Scholes has been just orgasmic out of a very good team effort so far.

Good first half. Now we're 2-0 up Scholesy should get another 10-15 minutes and come off for Cleverley. He's demonstrated, again, that he's too important to lose and he's not moving around as freely as he was before he got the bang on the knee so as we'll need him next week lets take no chances before the knee gets worse get him rest, ice and elevation.

:lol::lol:

Scholes is the most complete central midfielder I can think of. He makes everything seem laughably easy. His technique at almost all parts of the game are spot on. And he seems to have gotten better in the tackle in recent years.

Excellent first half by us.

This.

Just controls everything.

I'm pretty sure Donut was joking when he said it, but everyone is taking it as a serious suggestion

The defender stuck his leg out - the ball was gone what was he trying to achieve? So while I am happy for us to condemn Young's theatrics as we have standards that he is not adhering to, that is the kind of pen you see given all the time. It was soft - but that is the nature of pens. Not all of them are going to be nice neat black and white decisions.

And no way he'd admit it anyway.Pretty stupid from the Villa defender if true, the ball was going across the goal. Why would he leave it ? It'd be suicidal defending

If a team mate yells "leave it!" then he does so because he's got a better view of the situation and has judged it to be the best option, why you more often than not follow his command.

I hope Danny didn't do it.

how does anyone know what Wellbeck said?

just assumed nonsense. :)

The defender was afraid of blocking the ball coming at that speed fearing it would be an own goal...and left it hoping the goalie would get it.

that is the advantage of whipping the ball in at that speed.

So John Gregory is managing in Kazakhstan.

I get it but in that situation where Evra put a dangerous ball across the goal line, the defender would be taking a big risk listening to the "leave it ! " call.
It's the way I see it, it's like I'm under a lot of pressure and I'd prefer taking care of things myself

Here's a thought - our two CMs are arguably our MotM for the first half.

What strange times these are.

I don't believe people actually think Welbeck shouted to leave it. If he had I'm sure the defender would've been complaining. He shit hisself at the thought of putting it in his own net or didn't realise Welbeck was there.
