Manchester United v Manchester City

Which of the midfield 3 do we think will be the most advanced? Cleverley or Fellaini?

Or even Cleverley moving out wide allowing Mata to drift more central?

I can see the headlines already, especially if we lose.

I'm just glad that someone is telling the truth. All season we've been having excuses made for poor performances. Giving people an easy ride. Relying on the excuse of 'time'. Scholes doesn't BS. He should be in the studio for every United game.

Scholes would've liked to have seen Valencia play... It was going so well paul until that moment!

That's what Scholesy said he thinks will happen when we attack.

Scholes and Nev are so Fergie-fied. Wing play, pace and goals. It's like their religion.

Nothing wrong with that in essence, but surely Paul must realise how shit Valencia is.

Scholes saying it as it is. He's right as well.

C'mon now Scholesy, tell us what you really think.

that he is surprised that Valencia is not on the right.. thats where 'United's speed" comes from..

I am wondering if this is the problem that Moyes has faced througout the season.. to play the United way when we probably dont have the players to do that

Nev I can understand but Scholes is Barcelona material, that did surprise me. Still, a midfield of Beckham, Keane, Scholes and Giggs with RVP and Rooney up top or Mata behind Rooney would be up there with anybody.

He's still toeing the party line in regards to the manager. The players are easy targets.

People moaning about Scholes liking Valencia? Well maybe if we had a midfielder who could play balls over to him, and make the runs, Valencia wouldn't look shit?

Cleverley and Fellaini will humilate them.

Scholes rates Valencia lol
Is it that he rates Valencia, or is it that he wants a genuine wide player out there so we can stretch opponents? I think it's the latter and just mentions Valencia as there aren't many other options.

Tbf he'd probably be less shit if he was playing alongside Paul Scholes.

If Valencia keeps crossing as he has he would look crap. But then if Scholes was in the team he'd lift his confidence and make him look good.

He's grown fond of getting red cards in big games this year and is leaving. No place for him in this team anymore.
You could even go as far to say he abandoned his ship during its time of need. We needed leaders to step up and he decided to leave.

Cardinal sin there! You don't fecking interrupt Scholesy!

I think the reason Mata's played from the right side is to allow him to stay up and provide us width on the counter. With him stretching Man. City on the counter, Rooney and Welbeck will get into the spaces/goalscoring positions and muddle up Demichelis and Kompany.

Welbeck has a huge responsibility to fulfill in this match. He has to make sure that he doesn't get too involved in the defensive side of the game and stay quiet on the attack. Welbeck needs to be daring and trust the midfield 3 to cover for Evra whilst he stays up and threatens on the counter. If Welbeck focuses on attacking rather than defending, he'll be our gamebreaker.

Interesting formation I must say. I reckon we're going for that possession vision with three in midfield and 3 forwards who can keep the ball. Welbz to provide the pace for that quick counter. That's how it looks on paper at least, how it will pan out is anybody's guess but I am not feeling too optimistic I have to say.

Probably the biggest reason why our football isn't anywhere as good any more is missing that fella. He was just better than anyone else in England.

They were loving him when he had an unfair dig IMO against Fellaini, then he suggests Valencia should play and scholes is "Fergie-fied"

Fellaini will be most forward. Clev and Carrick basically don't move.
