You do realise this is the League Cup?
Can see Fabio getting a run at right back allowing Buttner to play left back. Norwich don't have as many 6 footers in their team so normal full back service could be resumed with the exception of Buttner who is special.
Fabio isn't in the squad for reserves today. Can see Fabio playing tomorrow.
Why would you put Zaha in the middle and not Welbeck?
It would be quite a fluid formation Mitch, those three would have licence to roam and keep the defence guessing.
I just want to see Fabio, Zaha and Hernandez....
Think Hernandez deserves a start, but at the same time I really want to see Welbeck given a few games as a striker.

If Anderson, Buttner and Young are anywhere near the team I'll be pissed. Of course it's the League Cup and we shouldn't play our best players, but at the same time I don't see any benefit of playing average/poor players who will in all likelihood have no future at the club.
We should only play our established players, experienced players or young players with a future at the club instead of garbage who find themselves on the periphery of the squad or rarely playing at all. Hopefully Fabio will start at LB with Rafa on the other (didn't play against Stoke anyway), Giggs and/or Cleverley in midfield ahead of Anderson and then we could try and work Nani into form, or play Januzaj or Welbeck on the left instead of Young.
We shouldn't take Norwich lightly anyway. With how we have been playing it'll probably be a difficult game and we shouldn't assume it'll be a walkover with whatever team we play. A cups still a trophy and a domestic cup might be our only realisti chance of silverware this season.

First game in years we don't get in Australia. We have been very lucky over in recent years, will have to stream it for once.
I'm considering waiting for the 11pm MUTV broadcast and just watching Arse v. Chavs on Sky since last time a league cup game of ours wasn't broadcast live it was so difficult to find. The main problem is that Sky will of course constantly give updates any time anything happens in the other games including ours (especially if we are behind) so I doubt I could watch the 11pm showing with any tension.
