Are these games in any danger of being called off?

I just checked the weather in Manchester and it seems fine for the weekend. There is very little chance for precipitation and it seems sunny for the next three days.

MANCHESTER UNITED v SUNDERLAND EARLY TEAM NEWS

Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has major selection problems for the Boxing Day trip to Manchester United as he has seven senior players missing.

Skipper Lee Cattermole is suspended after his fifth booking of the season and striker Danny Welbeck is ineligible under the terms of his loan agreement with United.

Central defender John Mensah will be out for three weeks with the ankle injury he sustained during last weekend's 1-0 win over Bolton.

Titus Bramble and Michael Turner are both out with knee injuries and David Meyler suffered a knock on his return from a long-term knee injury at Fulham.

Fraizer Campbell is also out with a knee injury.

Alex Ferguson expects Nemanja Vidic and Anderson to be available despite catching the flu virus that affected the club.

Michael Carrick and Nani were also been affected but should be fit to play.

Paul Scholes and John O'Shea are both out.

Manchester United Squad: Van der Sar, Kuszczak, Rafael, Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Smalling, Evans, Evra, Fabio, Nani, Obertan, Carrick, Fletcher, Gibson, Anderson, Park, Giggs, Bebe, Rooney, Berbatov, Macheda, Hernandez, Owen.

Sunderland Squad: Gordon, Mignolet, Onuoha, Bardsley, Richardson, Angeleri, Da Silva, Riveros, Henderson, Malbranque, Elmohamady, Zenden, Bent, Gyan, Meyler, Adams.

Wes Brown was said to be out by SAF

Even with O'Shea, Brown and Neville I suppose they could always use Fabio or Evans there if necessary.

Assuming Vidic, Anderson, Carrick and Nani were out:

Van der Sar
Rafael
Ferdinand
Evans
Evra
Park
Fletcher
Gibson
Giggs
Berbatov
Rooney

Subs:
Kusczcak
Fabio
Smalling
Obertan
Bébé
Hernandez
Owen/Macheda

Feels like fecking ages since we last played a game.

so is this on tv at all? cant seem to find any info

I've scored a ticket to this and I'll be wearing my new John Rocha wooley jacket/cardy thing to keep warm. Good times.

Wouldn't be so surpriswed to see Bebe get a game in the next 4 games - as we'll be out of wingers.

No it's a 3pm therefore not on tv.

Fulham v West Ham morning tv game, Villa v Spurs afternoon tv game.

Match of the Day tonight though.

Setanta show 3pm kick offs sometimes but neither they nor espn have anything on today.

fecking pain in the arse.

No Bramble :(

Good, he's their best defender.

Turner is their best defender by some distance imo. Doesnt get the headlines but has been superb for them and was probably Hull's best player before that aswell. The fact that both him and Bramble and Mensah are out can only bode well for us.

Id imagine Sunderland will line up like this

----------------Gordon-------------------

Al-Muhammadi Onouha Ferdinand Bardsley

Malbranque Henderson Riveros Zenden

--------------Bent Gyan-----------------

I had a dream that we went 1 - 0 down but came back to win 3 - 1.

A Rooney goal got us level, then an own goal. Then somebody called Vevre scored to make it 3 -1, which kind of quashed the dreams credibility. It may have been my brain trying to say Evra, not sure.
