Anderson for Fletcher, Obertan for Park and it's the side that started in the 2:2 draw earlier this season.

KaiWayne The definition of motivation: Mummy has just texted daddy saying "Dear Fatboy, if you don't score tonight, I'm sleeping with Gary Nev. C x

I LIKE

Come on lads. 3 points is a must tonight

Nani Giggs Rooney Berba is

Carrick Fletcher could be like the Stoke game though. But I think Fergie might be worried by Villa on the counter so he's played SAFe with those two in there.

Good side. Rafael was probably touch and go, I didn't think Scholes would start after playing 90 minutes twice in a row - especially with Giggs obviously starting on the left. Everyone else was a cert though I expected Anderson in there.

Hernandez is better off the bench. I think Rooney might impress tonight!

bench: Lindegaard, Owen, Chicharito, Scholes, Ando, Fabio, Smalling

Was hoping for an Anderson and Rafael start. I hope that Fletcher and Rooney finally kick on their season!

There is a real lack of wingers right now. We need Park back asap. If one of Nani/Giggs has to come off what happens? Fabio?

Villa XI v United: Friedel; Walker, Dunne, Collins, Clark; Makoun, Petrov; Albrighton, A. Young, Downing; Bent

The four of them could cause trouble on the counter which is probably why we've gone with Fletcher and Carrick and not Ando.

Very good team and bench, disappointed Rafael didn't make it but no point risking him if he's not ready.

Don't post useless drivel like this mate. You know very well that the entire team performed poorly that day and you can't single out Carrick for being a bad "sheild." Wank posts like that don't contribute anything to this forum other than point out to the rest of us that you just want to be pedantic.

Would everyone please check with askabob before posting to see if their opinion or comment passes his wank test. Thank you.

Think it's useful to have a basis of comparison, that's part of an objective scientific method. Posts like yours point out a personal need to be arrogant.

"I will probably have an interest in Manchester United in some capacity of course but the important thing is to cut yourself completely off," Ferguson told ESPN.

"I would never go to any other job or anything like that, no chance.

"Once I'm finished at United I'll be heading for the hills and the sunset.

"I will be taking a rest but the important thing for anyone who retires is to be active, so I will take other interests up."

:(

Hope the day does not come for a long long time.

Nice looking team there. I just want us to start this game well instead of having to force a heroic comeback in the second half.

Hope Rooney get's on the scoresheet tonight.

I'd take the 3 pts however they come. last week against Blackpool and Southampton were great, but bad for any dicky tickers out there. Sol?

Rooney seems most likely.

Based on recent history a reshuffle involving Rooney seems most likely.

If Rooney and one of Nani or Giggs had to go off, I'd expect Fletcher wide right in the reshuffle or Anderson wide left.

Even after that you'd think Fergie would play Hernandez on the wing before Fabio.

It's nothing personal against you mate. We all know that the team performed poorly against Villa away earlier this season but even disregarding that, what good does it do to point out an exception to the rule when someone made a comment that has been generally true this season?

Carrick has been great defensively this season for the vast majority of games but citing one of very few exceptions to the rule doesn't add much - if anything - to the discussion

i.e. You can say that Nani has been one of our best attackers this season but if I point out that he was shit in one game a few months back, how does that contribute to the thread?

redrichio might just have a case of tourettes tonight if we dont mince Villa 37-0

bob you better just avoid reading his posts if thats the case

Kinda wish Anderson was starting, but a good line up none the less.

Good team that!

3-1 for us. Rooney, Berba and Nani. Bent scoring for them.
