Are people kidding me about the performance? Benfica have given their all in the first half and we will pick them off in the second half. Their gameplan was clearly to attack and get one goal then cling on, apart from de gea save they have done nothing. They have tippy tappied in front of us but cant get in behind.
Mourinho would have expected this, i understand our fullbacks arent great but we cant change that right now. But i think tactically we were good, now benfica have to come out and do it for another 45 mins, they will tire after 60 and then we will score another.

Agree with you but the reason is there is no midfield player there to receive the ball. Lingaard is all over the place. I think we need Herrera and Mihki on for Lingaard and Scott.

I thought that was a decent performance. Good 20 mins initially with some good runs. 20 to 40 mins was a bit meh. And again good in the last 5 mins. Most of the attack is going through Martial. Benfica are playing well but have not had any chances that I can recall, except for that penalty shout?.
Score one more early in the second half, sub couple of players with the Chelsea game in mind, and see them off. Job done!

Players should know the rules. It is Lingaard's fault as much as the physio. He should have let Lingaard towards the 4th official instead of letting him get on the field. If a player comes off the field then he has to get permission to come back.
