Thank God for that goal. Gives it a completely different outlook on game and the mood in the dressing room at HT. We go into HT on a high.

Hope SAF now fires them up and wham Bam, 2 quick goals and game over.

I'd take off Val, Put nani on right wing, Rooney on left and bring on Berbs to play in the hole. Slowing down our play to bring our wing men into play more often would murder this lot and I think Berbs and Sholes can do that for us.
 
I actually think Scholes has been poor. Long range passing not as accurate as normal. However he scores goals, ya know.
 
Never had any confidence when Rooney went up for the pen.He's maybe become to predictable.
 
Before the goal Scholes looked a bit short on confidence and was uncharacteristically misplacing passes. Mabey those doubts he might've had have been extinguished by his goal. Oh how I cheered.

Plus misplaced some other passes that have not resulted in a Bolton attack. Take the ginger tinted glasses off!

That said great run into the box and gets a crucial goal!

He's clearly rusty from not playing for so many months, so a few misplaced passes is to be expected really.

I remember him taking one in a friendly that he curled into the top corner. So cheeky that I burst out laughing.

I know that has no relevance to actual competitive matches, just remembered it and thought I'd mention it.
 
we might have to change to a new pk taker, that is 2 penalty miss in a week for rooney.

If its well placed enough, it doesn't matter. Ruud always seemed to go to the keepers right, keepers knew and couldn't stop it. And Ronaldo in the 06/07 till midway through 07/08 always seemed to hammer it to the keepers bottom right. Though I agree that Rooney doesn't seem the best penalty taker. I'd like Nani, but not sure if he will get the call after last years Fulham fiasco

I really think we have to give him a little time to get back into the pace of it all. He does need a few games for sure

Yes not having a pop at the prince but lets not get carried away! Still great for him to get back on the score sheet!
 
Hopefully we'll get a quick couple..I really want Berba, Chicarito and Pogba to get some minutes today

It's always a disgrace unless we are 3-4 up even then its certain someone will be picked on.

First time in ages that have i dropped in to matchday thread and it has not changed at all, the same wan*ers are still wan*ers!
