    Bench Sanchez.
Jose signed him so he'll be given every opportunity to stink up the joint while team results suffer. He should be rotated not benched or at least shouldn't be given the LW where he has been outperformed

Just want a good reaction from the players after Tuesday night's shambles. A passionate, no nonsense performance to show that they do care.

It's genuinely sad that folk don't give a toss about the cup anymore.

We've had a huge history in the FA Cup and cup runs and wins have produced some of our finest moments.

Love the cup. I'd love to win it again
Still huge to me, love it though the game (money/European importance) is doing all it can to diminish. Having grown up on them being massively important and attending a winning final, will always be important to me.

Good piece on BBC about the time we played them in the 83 final. Nearest weve come to losing to them (probably deserved to lose first game). Remember it well, coverage back then was great, an entire day of FA Cup programming. Bliss.

Agreed, Sanchez seems undroppable for some reason. Maybe Jose and his stubbornness or because he was a marquee signing.

Jose is trying to play him into form.
If we are going to win the title next season, Sanchez is a player we are going to be relying on heavily. If he doesn't do well next season, I don't see us winning the title.
If I were the manager, I would play Sanchez for every game until the end of the season.

Regarding reaction and passion, there's something that bothers me a little I must admit. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with players expressing their regrets on social media after such a performance, that's fine and it's just the way it is. However, and maybe I'm just old fashioned, I'd much rather they'd use the game against Brighton as an outlet for the frustration I'm sure they're experiencing. Show us passion on the pitch, not Twitter.

He stuck with Mkhitaryan for far too long earlier in the season as well, guess he's just prepared to keep playing out of form players in the hope they'll play their way back into form

I don't think it was too long. I think he got it right.
He played Miki for many games and when it was evident that he was not suited for us, he sold him in January. He was utterly ruthless and so should it be.

I'm with you on this one.
I want them to play with anger, passion and purpose, against Brighton. I want Brighton to be walloped so hard, it takes the entire Summer for them to recover.

Modernity my friend, online social media era, where everyone easily expresses all their feelings (passion or disappointments/regret) online than offline.

That aside, expecting good reactions from the players for this game. Just damn go for it and win.

People were calling for Mhki to be dropped for weeks before the 1-0 loss to Chelsea, it was only then that he did

It will be cagey as can be, the same lacklustre crap we've become accustomed to in recent weeks at Old Trafford. Reckon we'll scrape it 1-0 with a late Lukaku winner.

I want us to utterly destroy Brighton to show everyone what we're capable of, but I feel that's wishful thinking...

So, pretty much we're with the same squad for this game.

None of the injured players recovered.

 Play real centre midfield players starting this time please, and not to left Matic isolated. eg. MaTominic, or Matic-Pogba against Brighton should be fine.. if the latter can pass properly this time.

I hope tomorrow Rashford or Martial will play on left wing. Play Alexis as no10 with Mata on right wing.

Also I'm not sure Pogba is ready to start a game. Hope Scott and Nemanja will start in CM.

Must win game, both for bouncing back from that horrible loss as well as being our only trophy chance this season.

We need to attack from the off and put Brighton under pressure. The longer the game goes goalless the more fans and players will be having flashbacks to Tuesday.

A good performance here is almost as important as a win.
At least let's end the week on a high.

I'd go for control during the first 15 minutes as they might be out of the blocks hard and fast. Followed by taking a grip on the game with, say 3/4 goals and keeping it under control again for the last 10 minutes.

But we need to show that we can play football with speed, flair and passion.

That's quite good, really good actually...Won't be as easy as some are expecting it to be. Hopefully we have some fire in our bellies after Tuesdays poor performance.

Hoping for a 433, with Martial on the left and Mata/Lingard on the right, midfield of Matic, McTominay and Pogba.

De Gea will start. I think Lukaku should play the #9.

I imagine Matic will probably start also and possibly Bailly.

Hope there are no long term records still standing for this one. Bound to be broken if so.

I support the team, I hope we win, I always hope we win. I love Manchester United. Much more than a busy (nearly) 38 year old man should. But I will be boycotting this game in protest of the manager. Call it fickle, call it what you want; but at this point I would rather spend some quality time with my 2 year old daughter and take her to the park. Ferguson said it best, when he said it was his job, and the job of the team, to entertain the fans. Fans who spent their hard earned time and money to watch the team. It's not an unrealistic expectation, it's not an expectation of endless victory; it's an expectation of moderate success, decent performance, and some fecking entertainment. After all, it is a game!

Such a connection, devotion and self awareness to surroundings by the manager and executive management, is now sorely absent at this club.

I just hope to see some goals and entertainment. It's been a while since I've enjoyed a United game from start to finish so I hope for a performance to lift the confidence and boost morale.

Mourinho needs this cup as bad as we do. His ego won't let him finish the season empty handed. Expect us to use the usual "caution first" approach, nick a goal and shut up shop. Hope i'm wrong because in a perfect scenario we'd see the players give us a response and put five past Brighton, but i'm not getting my hopes up.

We should try playing an XI with everyone in their correct position and see what happens.

People call for dropping players after one poor performance.

    Players dropped isn't so bad.
There are many on here who want Jose sacked, because he lost one game to Sevilla!

    Expect:
    ----------Romero
    Tony--Bailly---Lindelof--Young
    --The Kid---Matic
    --------------------Pogba
    Sanchez---------------Martial
    -----------Rom

Though it would be nice to see Lingard wide right in place of Sanchez. Surely we'll go with 433.

This will be fascinating to see how the team reacts to Tuesday and the Jose press conference.

Will also be interesting to see how Brighton start, if you’re them you probably smell a little blood.

I'm more excited for this FA Cup game than any other game this season. Never expected that

Did you watch the games vs Chelsea and Liverpool recently? Irrespective of the results, both games were thuroughly entertaining and engaging.

Think this was the last time we played Brighton in the FA Cup, remember the game well and how I thought we had blown it at the end.
Went to the replay, tremendous night.

    Superb video!
This squad is crying out for a Robson right now, a big bollock in the middle of the park to drive us on. How bout that save at the end, to send it to replay. REPLAY! Imagine that these days.

    What I'd like to see:

    ---------------------DDG
    ----Tony V----Bailly---Smalling---Shaw
    --------------------Matic
    -------------Mctominay---Pogba
    -----Mata----------------------------Martial
    -------------------Lukaku

I'd like to see us sneak in an extra player too. Might be difficult though.
