Manchester United vs Burnley

funny_guy.jpg

You won't be laughing on Saturday.

Have a feeling it's going to be another case of us throwing everything forward and coming up short in the final third. Still think we'll win, but not by more then a couple of goals.

I had a dream the other night that we won this in injury time :wenger: 3-2!!!
If it comes true, im going to burn myself.
However, I did the score the winning goal.

Best case scenario:

van der Sar, Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Anderson, Giggs, Rooney, Berbatov.

SUBS: Kuszczak, Neville, Evans, Park, Obertan, Scholes, Owen.

However, any of van der Sar, Ferdinand and Berbatov may not be available for selection. From the press I estimate Vidic will be ready, and Owen will start I think if Berbatov doesn't make it.

Plus, it's going to be my first time at Old Trafford! :D Mega-excited!

wowee!!!! Fantastic, chuffed for you.

Have a great day - hope we put on a show for you. Do let the cafe know about your day and how it felt to finally see the team live.

Looking forwards to this now. Another game like the Wigan one will help lift spirits.

Hoping to see Nani and Macheda make the bench after injury.

A start for Owen too, possibly.

Good luck! Hope yours is better than mine - it was against Besiktas in November. I even got a mention in the matchday programme.

I will take 3 points, but I feel we need a good performance!

If we are going to humiliate one team this year, I hope its Burnley

Fletcher is suspended.

Edit: Was reading SSN and they mentioned possibility of Vida playing and even have him in projected starting line up. So did quick search on Getty for latest training images - no sign of Vida training. Foster is though.

Check out Oberhead hiding behind Park to stay warm - maybe should have worn the leg warmy thingies.

VDS (feels great to write his name finally)
Rafael (I get giddy writing his name on the starting 11) Vidic Evans Evra
Valencia Carrick Anderson NANI
Rooney Owen

We will be hungry. Many players will try to impress and Burney needs to be put in their place after beating us earlier in the year.

Nani to score a cracker.

I hope we get to see Diouf but not chasing for a winner in the last 15 minutes again, sort these feckers out early and enjoy the second half for once please!

if anderson scores with his fat arse for a 1 nil i'll take it. 3 points is the most important

A big win with VDS back would instill a belief within the squad and with Rio and Vida to come back it could be the start of something special!!

If we are going to humiliate one team this year, I hope its Burnley

nice thought but I hope we save the 6 nil we have in us for the return of the dippers in march!

I actually hope Nani starts too, frustrating player and not all that great but talented and exciting when he plays well

Evra reveals crunch Man Utd player talks while in Qatar

16.01.10 |

Patrice Evra says Manchester United held crunch talks during their week away in Qatar.
After disappointing results against Leeds and Birmingham, United have spent the last week training in Qatar.
And Evra revealed: "It was a chance to make sure everyone understands we must not throw the league away.
"We talked a lot about tactics and what we needed to achieve until the end of the season. It is a chance to write the story. A lot of people talk about Manchester United's attack but if you look back at our last three titles, the real strength is the defence. The performance in Barcelona two years ago was the best performance of the entire team.
"When we are a unit like that, it is difficult to beat Manchester United. People say we are not going to win the title and we have dropped too many points. But I am proud and happy where we are.
"I fear no-one. I only fear Manchester United."
