Which position? Midfield centre and left? I am not sure we can risk him at full back or DM in this game.
I've seen Gibson played at centre midfield and right side. So, not much difference there.

Well Anderson could play in front of the back four, central midfield, wide left of behind the striker. Gibson's been pretty poor any time he's played wide and against Cole I'd give him not very much of a chance.
It's not really a big deal as we have plenty of versatility I just wouldn't have made that call myself. I doubt Fergie fears for his job regardless.
I was at my local football team for the home leg of the Marseille tie, so hopefully this will work again.
So we'll be playing a 4-5-1 I assume with Rooney playing on the left or very deep. We will probably start 4-4-2 but Chelsea have nothing to lose really by going for it and we would so I guess we (unfortunately) will sit back making Rooney play out wide a lot

Slightly nervous about tonight's line-up, would have preferred to see Valencia starting in place of Park, think he offers us much more on the counter attack.

I am not convinced he can play there. He isnt that creative and I havent seen him trying many killer passes. And he cant shoot, sadly. We know Gibson can make the keeper works with his shots.

I dont get the sentiment that just because Gibson hasnt played awful of late, that he has played well, he hasnt, somewhere in between is fair and certainly and improvement but he hasnt put one performances this year to challenge any of Anderson's better performances this season.
Also, lets not forget on Saturday who played the pass to open it up for the first goal, ie not Gibson
Take a conventional 4231 and tilt the AM trio around Rooney with Nani high and Park low.
At least Sky aren't talking about how terrible a person Rooney is for corrupting the youth.
We line up more or less as expected. Valencia's the only change and after Nani's majestic form this weekend, I guess thats fair enough. Also O'Shea playing behind him needs less protection than Rafael.

Hope Park plays left and helps Evra out. More so hope Evra plays the game of his life - biggest worry is down that right side for me.
Fair enough. But by looking at the other 2 midfield subs, i.e Scholesy and Valencia, I think we needed a DM there. To me, Anderson is more of an adventurous midfielder (more like AM). Gibson fits in there better than Anderson I think.
