Manchester United vs. Chelsea

Fingers crossed we don't go into this feeling sorry for ourselves. Will be a tight encounter, any game vs. a Benitez side is.

I'd rest van Persie, think he needs one, play Chicharito.

de Gea
Smalling Vidic Evans Evra
Nani Cleverley Carrick Young
Chicharito Rooney

Can't come soon enough - I don't even care about the ridiculous FA cup draw curse, or that we'd still have Everton and City to go through to win the damn thing, but I want to think about this now:

De Gea
Rafael---Ferdinand---Evans---Evra
Valencia---Carrick---Cleverley---Nani
Rooney
Hernandez

Even after saying all that, the idea of facing the Rafa circus after the Madrid circus seems equally tiring.

And for some reason, I thought this game was on Saturday. Didn't know it was Sunday night.

Why would be resting any players for this game?

The league is in the bag as it is. The FA Cup is a chance to win the double. We'll be playing our strongest 11.

This is on Sunday with no midweek game after. Strongest team should play. The only change I'd possibly make is Hernandez in as he needs games and RVP isn't scoring right now. Otherwise, Rooney in, 4-4-2 and lets batter the cnuts!!

I'd like to think that there will be a vicious response to last nights result and that we will go out and destroy Chelsea but I dunno, I think there will be a bit of a hangover.

Hernandez

Kagawa-------Rooney---------Nani

Cleverley---------Carrick

Evra-------Ferdinand-------Evans-------Rafael

De Gea

I would go with this, Hernandez always seems to have success against Chelsea.

Can't come soon enough, Fergie has often talked about the importance of not losing back to back games, we'll be driven by tonights bullshit and hopefully take Chelsea apart.

I want us to give them a proper beating... not because it's Chelsea, but I think the players will be angry beyond anything. My XI:

De Gea
Rafael - Ferdinand - Evans - Evra
Carrick - Anderson
Nani - Kagawa - Young
Rooney

RVP has been below par for a while, he might need a little break and with the West Ham game yet to be reschedulded (maybe to be played on the 13th), we need him fresh. Hernandez surely should get game time again though, coming off the bench. I went for Anderson as CM, because Scholes isn't fit, Cleverley has been managed carefully and Giggs will not play again this week.

Come on United, the Double is ON! :)

I hope we throttle these fecks.

This team can win the double, no doubt.

One trophy would be a disappointment this year now, nothing but a win shall do

I don't think we are going to lose this game. There would be enough rotation and motivation after how things unfolded last night.

The team:

DeGea
Smalling Rio Evans Evra
Carrick Anderson
Nani Rooney Kagawa
Hernandez

Subs: Linde, Rafael, Cleverley, Valencia, Young, Welbeck, Robin

someone needs to pay for yesterday night, and it might as well be these plastic bastads.

You want Smalling to play against the likes of Mata, Oscar and Hazard? He's too inflexible to be effective against those smallish types.

No, now we are out of CL, Rafael should play ALL remaining matches. Suspect RVP won't be rested either.

I'd like to see Nani, Kagawa, Welbeck behind RVP.

Au contraire. First of all, Smalling is good enough to play but I think Rafael will play against Chelsea as well since he was rested against Norwich. Second, I think RVP will be rested for this one because he has become a little ineffective over the last month. Effects of playing so much football over the past 12 months is showing. He needs a two week rest. Third, Hernandez is good enough to start for us and especially this season he has proven that by scoring 14 goals. I think he deserves more games and hence a start.

Ok with RVP being replaced by Chicharito (good record against Chelsea) but please please please no Smalling?

Good game for us to play next.

Sorry Chelsea but you're gonna get an absolute arse-shafting.

We need to take our agression out on someone and the refs are too well protected.

Our next game after this isn't till the next saturday, no point resting anyone (except RVP).

I am sorry but I think there is no way Vidic is playing 3 games in 8 days. He hadn't played 2 games in a row for months until yesterday.

Absolutely no idea why not.

He came through yesterday fine and he's got 5 days to rest for this one.

Think we'll give Rvp a rest, and cleverley or Anderson is 50/50, but I think it'll be something like this. Hopefully nani starts and SAF backs him to come back strongly, definitely think the crowd will have his backing. Kagawa should get the start as well.

Thank God we don't have to wait long until the next game. The team will get a superb reception and rightly so.
