Manchester United vs Chelsea

----------van der sar---------
bardsley--rio--brown--silvestre
ronaldo--smith--scholes--park
--------rooney--------------
---------ruud---------------

how we could have done with someone like phillip neville in this type of situation to play DM. BUT - if that team plays like they can, we CAN WIN. 1-0 scholes

drop rooney deep to suplement scholes and smith and that will help us massively in the physical battle. also he can cause havoc from that central area.

Can we beat the renties tomorrow even though its a tall order? :(
of course we can - rewind a year and the gooners were the greatest team in history, and we stuffed em

-------------VDS-------------
Phil---Rio--Wes---Mickey
Fletcher--Smith--Scholes--Ronaldo
----------Rooney-------------

I think this would be the best starting lineup under the circumstances. Hhopefully Fletcher and Bardsley can link up the right wing and get some telling crosses in. Fletcher in place of Park is probably the better defensive play. On the left, I really dont expect Mickey to get too far down the line. He seemed completely out of form playing left back against Lille, so it's probably Ronaldo on his own. That leaves Scholes and Smith to play very conservatively in the middle and try to win as many tackles as they can. Smith has to be very careful tracking lampard's (or gudjohnsen if he plays) runs. I dont think we can afford either one of our midfielders to ghost into chelsea's box when we have sustained possession. If we fall behind, Park will probably be the first man in and hopefully with enough time to make an impact.

We will win it.But it will be no more than bragging rights for a couple of weeks.

The first home league game in ages that we've gone into with me thinking we are going to get well and truely stuffed.

I'd be delighted with a scoring draw. It would atleast halt this downwards spiral we seem to be on at the moment.

Good luck Mancs, may the best team win and have no injuries on either side.

I really hope for a good game of football. Draw will be good for us, a win would be fantastic, but a loss would still leave us in a great position. Here's to a good one.

According to the Sunday Mail, Gary's playing and set to captian the side.

Any truth in this?

I Just hope we have a couple of shots on target.

It would be an improvement.

I hope Drogba brakes his legs.
That would just slow him down. He would still be dangerous on corners and free kicks.

Now he broke his leg, then it would be different..

GRAHAM POLL

Graham Poll takes charge at Old Trafford on Sunday after a two-match suspension by the FA for an incident at a pre-season training camp in Aldershot.

And mean we won't be able to do shit as usual up front. Packing our midfield has obviously not worked for us for the past 2 seasons. Would like to see us playing 4-4-2 without Fletcher cos he's been awful for us this season. I counted the number of succesful tackles he made against Boro and the tally was a grand ONE. Park should play instead, imo.

But that just shows you the lack of quality in the side...

We'll win 2:1, though Scholes will be sent off within 30 minutes. Rooney will score with a deflected shot in the 65th minute, Drogba will make it 1:1 in 75th minute after some shite defending by Rio. Ole will win it 8 minutes from time with a superb placed shot after a great pass by Smithy.

It was like that in my FM game ;)
