Manchester United vs. Crystal Palace

The highlight package of the first half should be quite brilliant.

so many things wrong.... would like to see a freshness to the team, if pogba and morrison cant get a game in this kind of fixture what chance have they got... we have been abysmal surely they see this and are frustrated they are not given a chance.

We need a spark, in this game and in the first team, surely now would be a great time to give them a go, if they are ready for the bench they are ready to play. Gibson is a joke, valencia is a shadow or his former self, macheda poor, and johnny evans as captain lol

Yeah, Gibson has looked ok. Park has been disgraceful, Valenca not at his best.

Diouf though. Wow. I know players need games to get form, but really, what's the point?

Yeah, for me the biggest disappointments have been Park, Diouf, Berba and Macheda. I guess each could be excused for their lack of playing time to an extent, but you'd still have to expect more.

Gibson has been fine, he's showing for the ball a lot and is always looking for the forward pass. His problem is that he's basically in midfield on his own, with Valencia pushed right up on the right, Macheda/Diouf pushed right up on the left, and Park nowhere in particular at all.

Match-day threads. Group hysteria in action. The collective IQ plummets due to the high concentration of muppets shooting their gobs off. I don't really understand why half of ye even watch football if it pisses you off so much.

Back to the game. We're not playing very well. Got on top towards the end though. Fabio's injury was probably a blessing in disguise. He was a red waiting to happen.

Like to see Morrison get a go on the left wing soon.

Why do you bother coming in here if you know you aren't going to like what you see?

Could be worse. We could be Chelsea.

Zero personality there tonight. Smalling, Gibson, maybe Rafael have been ok. The rest haven't kicked off yet.

I seriously don't know what people were expecting out of a team full of players who haven't played much recently due to circumstance and injury. We'll pick it up in the 2nd half.

But still AC, there were some things this half that we shouldn't really excuse. The amount of times we clumsily lost the ball due to an errant pass or dawdling on the ball too long was a bit ridiculous. There's no excuse for Valencia losing the ball in our half like that. He's played his fair share season and we're supposed to excuse shit like that?

I'm at least glad Fergie's pissed. The fact that some of you can accept this as okay worries me. I've seen us play before with a make-shift side. I dont remember too many that were this bad.

I'm more disappointed in Park and Valencia atm. Both of them have had games and really should be doing better, the others as you say are at least rusty.

I bet Ben Shephard wishes he was still on GMTV looking at Kate Garraway's tits.

to be honest, Park is one of those players who needs a lot of continous match time to really home in his timing and accuracy. I feel a bit sorry for him at the moment.

Each time I come in here I'm genuinely shocked at just how miserable everyone is but there's a few thoughtful posters whose opinions are worth hearing amidst all the wailing and moaning.

Right let's see what Morrison can do.

Agreed. Gibson has been decent although i'd love to see him get forward more.

The 4 you mention have been dire. Diouf in particular just doesn't look like a united player. Hope for a better half because that first was painfully mediocre.
