League Cup Semi Final - Home Leg
Old Trafford
Tues 20th Jan 2009
KO : 20:00 BST

VDS

Rafael - Chester - Evans - O'Shea (Fabio)

Park - Anderson - Fletcher - Nani

Berbatov - Welbeck

I'm not worried about the result. It is a win-win situation for us.

We have some unfinished business with Derby County. We dare not lose to them at home. The performance of the first leg cannot be repeated. Hopefully our team makes the most of their second chance.

------------------ PIG -----------------------
Rafael --- Vidic ------- Evans ------ O'Shea
Park ----- Carrick ---- Anderson ---- Nani
------------ Welbeck ---- Teveth -----------

No fecking about, looking for a good professional performance.

I can't see them scoring against us at OT, we should go through.

Definately give Vidic a rest, no matter what the risks are. He's been playing weekend-midweek since we've returned from Japan, I think.

Anderson to get his first goal for United, in a skull fecking/blowout of these twats

It's very frustrating to miss Wes and Rio, we could definitely do with resting some of our defenders. Hopefully Rio returns and we can rest Vidic for this one. I'm not sure about going through, depends what kind of team Fergie fields. Derby will park the bus and wait for chances from set pieces, so we need to score as early as possible.

Vidic doesn't exactly look bollocked though, with the way he's playing and the confidence flowing through him, I bet he'll want to play on Tuesday night. We shall see though.

A place at Wembley is at stake..... feck resting anyone! (apart from VDS)

Team should be...

GK: Foster

RB: Rafael
CB: Vidic
CB: Evans
LB: O'Shea

RM: Park
CM: Carrick
CM: Anderson
LM: Nani

CF: Ronaldo
CF: Tevez

Subs: PIG, Neville, Fletcher, Scholes, Giggs, Berbatov, Welbeck

Comfortable passage into the final, 3-0 Tevez x2 & Ronaldo

----------------- Van der Sar -------------------
Rafael ------ Vidić ---------- Evans ------ O'Shea
---------- Carrick ----------- Anderson ----------
Park ------------------------------------ Ronaldo
---------------- Tévez --------------------------
----------------------- Berbatov ----------------

Subs: Kuszczak; Neville; Fletcher, Scholes, Giggs, Nani; Welbeck

No pissing around, I hope we win this. We won't lose at Old Trafford, but that doesn't mean we won't lose the tie ._.

Hopefully after this game we'll have Ferdinand and Brown back for some extra bodies in defence; possibly Fábio and Tošić could get a look in as well. Maybe even if this match if Fergie doesn't want to win it that badly. Take a risk, see what they're made of.

putting vds in goal will virtually ensure a clean sheet .. that would be like using the cheat codes :p

Do you feel that Welbeck being the only striker in a side that must win is a good choice?

Can we please rest our center backs ffs.

The lads have been playing all the games since we came back from Japan.

If we want to win, I'd say no..

Vidic can have a mid-week rest in February :D lol

Once Ferdinand is back, we can probably rotate Ferdinand, Vidic, Evans slightly, so both Vidic and Evans can get a rest. But both of our next Cup games are big ones, and difficult ones. If we want to win, we need to put our best players out.

I'd like to see Vidic and Evans play against Derby, Ferdinand and Vidic play against Spurs, then Ferdinand and Evans play against West Brom. But not having Vidic scares me now, he's just too good.

I love this, game after game its fantastic for us lot. Is the game on Setantetete or Sky?

I'd field a strong team and ensure that we win. Another chance of a trophy for us.

The Serbinator doesn't need a rest. Keeping him in form would be a better option.

Im pretty sure if he gets injured you are gonna love it.

Its games like Derby at home where he can get a f'cking rest, if not when?

Saturday - Spurs at home, Wednesday - West brown (away), Monday - Everton at home and the season keeps going.

Its not only for Vida, its Evans too. One thing is play one game in a week but 2 games every week since December 26 its fecked up. We are tempting injuries. Even Carrick, Scholes, Park, Neville, Berbatov and everyone else rotate.
