This. Our play has been so good until the final 3rd. It's almost like we've forgotten how to score off late. Very very poor decisions in the final third.

He's shanked as many as he's completed...although it is much improved and he's played 2 stunning balls. No complaints, but I don't think he's been 'seriously impressive'. As I say, alot better though.
Hernandez hasn't been half as frustrating as he'll be frustrated with Nani and Rooney, he's been in space numerous times only for them to fanny around and take too long over it
Everybody gets the ball and the ball is moving, Nani gets it and he stops moving, for such a quick guy it is puzzling. Rooney appears poor because no one seems to understand Hernandez today. I don't really know whose fault it is but I know Hernandez is frustrated. He just does not know what to do for his mates to pass him a good ball

I said mediocre. He's played some cracking passes and followed up with some shocking ones. Typical Anderson display really, and off the ball he needs to work more.
I hope people who say he 'can't pass' learn from this.
The kid has a natural gift from the through ball. It's just a case of maximizing the enormous potential. Everytime he has had the ball today, I felt comfortable and expected us to create something.
We badly miss Berbatov as an option.

Nonsense. No player can go through a game without a couple of 'shocking ones'. Rooney's pass at the end of the first half was awful. That's what happens when you have the license to play those passes and the ability. How often does Giggs give the ball away with little flick and tricks, but it's worth it because for every 5 missed you can get one beauty like the three that put on a plate to put Chelsea away.

Yeah, have been very disappointed ESP with nani's choices today. Thought he had completed that part of his development given his amazing number of assists this season, but he can still improve greatly in that area.
Hernandez also needs to find a way to communicate to his team mates where he is going to make his run ...... Too many times his runs have been out of sync with the team mate who made the pass.
Saf policy, a player with a mediocre first half deserves a chance to redeem himself in the second.

I can't see any reason to. Only Valencia has seriously underperformed and Baines is not easy to play against. And he's one of our two best wingers anyway. Just a case of being more clinical in the final third.
We seem to have them every week, starting to wonder if someone upstairs doesn't want us to win this title.
One thing we need to make clear here. Nani is playing against Hibbert. That's Tony "can't outrun a snail" Hibbert. Why he chooses to come to a standstill whenever he gets the ball is beyond me. Just knock it past him and run.
Anderson is doing well but Gibson has wrecked 3 good attacking positions with his eagerness to shoot. Nani has made the wrong decsions in the final 3rd as has Rooney at times. Overall though our attacking play has been very good, until the final ball. Nani has been far too slow getting the ball into the box. He has his man beaten then waits for them to recover so he can beat them again!
Could have done with Berbatov today. He's the King of scoring at OT this season.
